Its a gross double standard and most liberals are too uneducated to understand this.

I take place to be a Mormon, and the only ones that i've got heard attacking Mitt's faith is coming from the excellent wing. The Liberals do no longer problem on the subject of the aggregate of religion and politics. however the Conservatives are 'oh Romney is our candidate so enable's forget what we reported approximately his faith and say it extremely is all Liberals doing it'. Your Conservative mantra approximately Obama tells me it extremely is authentic. Obama is Christian, his father replaced into atheist. And neither have been socialists, it extremely is basically a scare tactic utilized by utilising the excellent to instill concern into their base. The President isn't attempting to instill Sharia regulation, however the Conservatives are trying their ultimate to place in something comparable by way of their conflict of ladies. Abortion would desire to be left to the churches, no longer Congress. a similar with contraceptives and their use. that's what the Liberals are approximately, enable the churches manage those subject concerns, no longer the government. All i've got seen, apart from in this internet site, are classified ads approximately Romney's taxes, Bain, Welfare and protection stress strikes. there have been those in this internet site who've long gone after Romney for his faith, yet i do no longer think of that they are extremely Liberals, in simple terms Conservatives pretending to be Liberal.

Which planet are you living on? The liberal left is not the entity responsible for the anti-Mormon, anti-Romney rhetoric, it's the ultra-conservative, Evangelical Christian right that is.
Republicans are the ones that swear up and down that this nation began as a "Christian Nation" whereas Democrats tend to make no such claim. Republicans have the only thing to gain from Mormon bashing because its Republicans that want a theocracy here in the US.
Democrats fight to keep this nation as secular as possible (as it should be) which is EXACTLY why Reid hasn't needed to make such a speech defending his faith.

You have it wrong, the left accepts people no matter what their life is about. It is the Conservative whacko's that are the most bigoted haters of anyone who isnt "like them". Harry Reid doesnt have to defend his Mormon faith because with the left, it isnt an issue. Romney may be smarter to jump party platforms and flip flop back to his Mass. Governor beliefs on the issues, and then he would have a chance without his own party backstabbing him.

Since when are Karl Rove and the Guiliani Spin team on the left?
Faux News have had a few cents to put in too, now that I think about it. As have the Evangelicals, who seem to feel that their monopoly as the official Right Wing Religious Nuts is being challenged.
Shame too. Romney was probably the Gang of Pedophiles most electable candidate.
Face it, the Party is shooting itself in the foot on full automatic and the Left is laughing too hard to do much more than occasionally egg them on.

The attacks are coming mostly from the Christian Conservatives, not the left. Harry Reid is not running for president so all things are not equal.

Most of the people who have a problem with Romney’s religion are right-wing evangelicals. Liberals have no problem with Harry Reid's religion and never have had.
Romney was elected governor of Massachusetts, a very liberal state. Liberals are only concerned with religion when candidates try to impose religion on government.

No one is criticizing Romney's Mormonism except those that support Huckabee as a result of Romney being a Mormon.

The left is NOT attacking him for being a Mormon. The only voices I hear against him for that reason are evangelical Christians. The left doesn't get to vote for or against him in the GOP primary, so why would they need to say anything at all?

Actually, I hear the right of his own party attacking more for being a Mormon. The left is more generic -- attacking him for having a strong faith -- rather than being a Mormon specifically. The leftist stereotypes at work.... if the person has religious beliefs.. they MUST be bigots. People that have no faith of their own tend to fear those that do because they are, in a sense, alien beings.

I myself have only made wisecracks about it, because I get more enjoyment out of watching right-wing Christians attack him, shows liberals are correct about how Christian fanatics only want freedom of their own religion.
I just don't like him, because I don't care for any religious fanatics, Christian, mormon, wiccan, or otherwise.
BTW I don't have a problem with religious types, only the fanatics, that you can tell are all about making sure everyone else abides by their religious beliefs.
