Personally my favorite part of the pledge. The whole thing is nice though.

However, in my school a majorty of kids dont say the pledge. Some I think are lazy, but the others...

I know that you have the freedom to choose to say it or not, but in the middle of war-time? Show some support!

Yesterday in the political world we saw Bush say fight on and we can win...ra ra ra is what I got from all that.

Over the past week we saw the democrats make fun of a 4 star general, decry his report as innacurate (with out facts to back up their claims) and one thing that sticks with me - none of the democrats asked him what he needed to win?

What is worse, Bush's ra ra ra we can win or the Democrats not even wanting to win?

I pay for a secure underground parking in the City.... with my own space in an underground car park. It's £165 pm which is a lot of money.. but only about £25 pm more than the public car parks, with added convenience of being closer to work, and open 24/7 to me.

If I come to work in the morning, with an important meeting in 15 minutes with my company boss... and find some stupid mong has parked in my space, can I smash the window and roll the car out - without punishment?

I dont know if its my imagination but there seem to be fewer cases of serial killings these days - thank goodness.

Has society changed, or are these people being deterred by better detection methods?

Or am i wrong to think things have improved at all?

Here are two possibilities that I'd like to know if Bush supporters have considered or not:

1. Perhaps the reason liberals oppose everything Bush does so strongly is that they're tired of the President of the United States and his administration accusing them of giving aid and comfort to, and emboldening, the enemy, just because they didn't jump on his bloodthirsty little bandwagon.

2. Perhaps the reason Dems voted to authorize force if necessary and now oppose the war is because when they made that vote, they assumed that the Commander-in-Chief would use wisdom and discretion in managing this war, and not let it turn into the biggest fiasco in American history.

Possible?

When people first began talking about Fred Thompson entering the Presidential race, most of Romney's people thought that if he got in that Romney would pretty much be gone, because the front runners would be the more well known Giuliani, McCain, and Thompson. But Thompson delayed entering, McCain fell behind, and Romney pushed ahead, especially in Iowa and New Hampshire. Now Thompson is in, he's tied with Giuliani, (19-19), McCain's just a few points behind (15) and Romney's down to 7.

A friend is looking at a possible recall, and I want to know how it will affect his wife. They live in Colorado, but if he's recalled he will have to return to North Carolina.

Is she, in any way at all, obligated to go with him? I mean legally, or culturally, or whatever. Can she stay in Colorado when he reports, or does she need to be with him? If she must be with him when he reports, is she then free to return to her home in Colorado? If he ultimately deploys oversees, does it matter where she lives?

Really, I'm looking for as much information about this as I can. I'm not military, so I'm interested in what her obligations are on all levels; legally, culturally, etc.

Thank you.

what if the community organised themselves to collect the money to pay the road builders to build roads...

what if the road builders gave a community discount considering they were part of the community too?

and the same for other services... would the governing directives then be just a tax burdon?

I recently got a Bank of America World Points credit card and called to activate it, the customer service representative on the phone activated it as requested. However, while trying to persuade me to join the Credit Protection Plus program, which I repeatedly said “no” to several times. He informed me that he accidently enrolled me in it by clicking the wrong button on his computer. He then apologized for it several times, and told me to cancel it as soon as I got it in the mail.
I don’t know if the representative was trying to make a quick sales commission buck, but don’t they need my signature/approval to be enrolled in a program such as the Credit Protection Plan service? I tried cancelling by calling the 800 number but they give me another number to call, and after calling the alternative number they then direct me to the original number on the statement, basically sending me in a never ending loop.

Why is it, out of the 20 Senators (12 dems, 8 reps) who have access to the most intelligence reports, is there only 1 (a dem) who opposes the war?

There are 12 democrats and 8 republicans (listed below) who are on the "United States House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence". Only one of them (Jan Shakowski) is considered an "opponent" of the war?

Does logic (kryptonite to libs) tell you something there?

A President represents the character of his country to the world in how he governs at home as well as with foreign policy.
Which President do you feel best represented your idea of
America and why?

That slogan only proposes seperation of Americans from the rest of the world. It creates a feeling of superiority that encourages hate, and ignorance.

It should be changed to "God bless all humanity", for those of you who believe.

Did Jesus say that he would bless only one land?

We have all kinds of socialism in the US. The road system is socialized, the air travel system is socialized (governments own most commercial airports, FAA operates air traffic control). The military is socialized. Schools are socialized. Police and fire departments are socialized. And there are many more examples.

I see some say we should do this from time to time...

I mean... last time I looked at the census.. the median income was around $25,000 which basically means that about 50 percent of people are a lay-off away from poverty... and aren't that far from it now...

what effect do you think that would have on America?

unemployment is low... right? so there aren't enough jobs for all of them that are unemployed...

just wondering how you think things would go?

I have to confess, that I sure didn't. I didn't know about the super highway either.

I guess my reason for asking is because for our own politicians, those who represent all of us, this stuff hasn't been a secret. They've made their plans and they're moving ahead. Why is it that the average citizen knows so little about this?
