As a member of the military, I would have to vote that the Democrats are worse. They are invested in our defeat, which means a lot of my friends would have to die for them to score some political points. NOT GOOD. Where as President Bush wants to win, which means a lot of the bad guys would have to die for him to get political points. MUCH BETTER OPTION. Purely selfish on my part to want to see our nation victorious, but that's just the way I am.

If you think about it for a second, you can answer your own question.
What does Bush have to gain from his cheerleading support of the war? Military confidence? American favor? Eh okay whatever.
What do the Demorats have to gain? Casting a negative shadow before an election? Bragging rights IF it goes bad?
With the economy slowing (mortgage rates) and an impeding election season, do we really need negativity? With our troops in danger and in constant battle do we need to hear about them losing a battle or Bush AND the head military official claiming we can win the WAR?
You decide.
**By the way what does the enemy need to hear? The Demorats claiming a tremendous loss or the leader of the Free World proclaiming an overall victory?!?! They get satelite TV too!

I think both parties truly would love to win this "war".. The underlying problem is that there is a disagreement on what it takes to win, and if it can even be won.. At what cost is too much? It kind of defeats its purpose when you create more enemies then you kill. I can't really answer the question cause there's no way to tell which is correct.. Maybe we should ask Sylvia Brown. Personally, I think it's dangerous for the U.S. to still be there 10 years down the road. We need to find a quicker way to win, just don't think either option is a good one right now.

Just read some history of the area and you'll know what we've gotten into. The problem is that we had to do something, either when we did or later on when the weirdos have gotten bigger and stronger. I hated Bush when he won, and am not crazy about him now, but if the Dems get out of Iraq, then I would have to vote for Condolleza next time. My fantasy is Bush getting us in there and then the Dems solving the problem without getting out.

If the democrats keep this up and continue to get away with it, there are only two possible final outcomes.
One is that we will no longer have the kind of military we have today, we'll have the one they seem to think we already have; incompetent fools and sociopaths. No one else will want to serve.
The other is that we will have a country run by the military and ex-military, and there will be no room for people like the Clintons and Pelosis and Reids.
You simply can't continually beat your watchdog without him eventually running off or turning on you.

There is no contest. Bush has gotten us into this fiasco in Iraq and is now just passing it off because he is clueless. He hasn’t done anything worthwhile domestically either.
The reports on Iraq tell the real story. All the spin in the world and all the stupid, mindless slogans won’t turn this sow’s ear into a silk purse.

Well, the American public seems to like neither all that much. But objectively, President Bush has a 34% approval rating (real clear politics averages all the major national polls) and the Democratic-led Congress has a 24% approval rating. So according to most Americans as recently as last week, the Democrats are worse. 'Nuff said.

I love how all these people are saying that the Democrats are invested in the defeat of the military......
So, I'm a Democrat, and that's TOTALLY not what I want to happen! I just want all of the military out of there so people can stop dying!! I lost my brother over there... and for what??? Oil??? Don't judge me unless you know exactly what my opinion is.

Any negative thinking, is still negative.
Negativity breeds negativity.
When you raise children, you try to teach them to think positively. I think that when all these politicians were growing up, they missed that class.
Oh, they missed another class also. That was "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all".
People may not like Bush but, if you ask me, nobody likes everybody and nobody, is perfect.
The way ALL politicians talk about each other is digusting. I guess they don't believe in "what goes around, comes around".
I think that when I vote next time, I will choose the person that appears to have voiced the least amount of negativity against the others, no matter what party they belong to.
