do you think a kid that old knows what allegiance is, or even what a pledge is?
should we make pledges at home, and study at school?
Or how about we wait until kids turn 18 and let them choose allegiance pledging as an elective if they want that.

The act mandates that all publicly funded educational institutions provide educational programming on the history of the American Constitution on that day. The United States Department of Education announced the enactment of this law and that it would apply to any school receiving federal funds of any kind.
Ask your children what they learned about the Constitution today…If the Constitution was not given priority in your school today, the teachers and administrators are in violation of federal law and should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law!

I believe the war with Iran is 90%.It would be absolute disaster and there is possibility that we enter to world war 3 for following reasons: first of all Iran warfare capability is far far greater than Iraq and Afghanistan, Iran gets a full support from Russia and partially from china.USA already got the oil of Iraq which was its main interest for going to Iraq but if it wants to go to Iran for more oil, it would make the USA the absolute super power for many years therefore Russia would involve itself and china indirectly to prevent this since these two countries get the Iran’s oil. Then Europe will help the USA so millions of people will die for nothing and....wake up people and open your eyes!
What can we do to prevent this?

I was hired on with an employer (non-profit) who boasted the flexability of working from home when family sick..set hown hours..etc. During the initial interview w/ this company, I was never told about a merge w/ another company taking place. # months after I start the merge is finalized, I have a new boss, I have to drive 20 xtra miles to and from work, I was told to find alternative daycare that would suit a set schedule, and I am required to work more 45+ hrs per week and I am salaried at 40. All this and more has changed since this merge has taken place. I expressed my concerns with my boss when I first heard of the merge (wanting to keep flexability, etc.) to my face at lunch even, he said "no problem, we have the same values" which has a complete lie!
I feelo like I am being harassed. I was sick one day, and took PTO for another few days to move-and every little thing I use to be able to do , I am being pulled aside getting my *** chewed for! Can I collect benefits ?

Some facts:

In 1962, a year after the Bay of Pigs Invasion, Cuba was the center of world focus when the U.S. discovered the construction sites of Soviet nuclear missiles. The struggle that ensued between the U.S. and the Soviet Union, the Cuban Missile Crisis, brought the world the closest it ever came to nuclear war.
Over the next four decades, Castro ruled Cuba as a dictator. While some Cubans benefited from Castro's educational and land reforms, others suffered from the food shortages and lack of personal freedoms. Hundreds of thousands of Cubans have fled Cuba to live in the United States.
http://history1900s.about.com/od/people/p/castro.htm

I encourage everyone to take some time to study the history of this tyrant.

Is this come sick, demented, underground effort to drive this country towards the same fate that encompassed the citizens of Cuba and forced hundreds of thousands of them to flee for their lives to the United States?

Do you embrace communism and look up to Fidel Castro as a hero also?

Would you agree that this is not something to be turned into a partisan issue? Would you agree to work together for the safety of our people? How long must Democrats and Republicans bicker before we can get something accomplished?

How long will the Bush administration pretend they are trying to do something about the illegal immigration issue? Do you think that we should have had these issues settled right after 9-11 since our borders and ports are so vulnerable? If the government is doing the best it can then why are our borders and ports still vulnerable this long after 9-11? How long will the American people have to put up with lawbreakers trying to come into our country and demand rights they are not entitled to? Would you say the Bush administration has failed completely on this issue? What do you say....American?

Why have John McCain, Mitt Romney, Fred Thompson, and Rudy Giuliani refused to participate in the "Values Voter" debate? Since they are running for the Republican nomination, don't they need the votes of the religious conservatives? I understand why every single Democrat has refused but I'm not positive why the Republicans have.

I was pretty badly burned by a bikini wax a few days ago, at a day spa, and now have awful red splotches along my bikini line! I have been happy with the business in the past, this is the first problem I have had, but it is a big one. Should I approach them first and ask for my money back, or should I go to a doctor to verify the burns, and sue for damages? On the one hand, I don't want to cause a problem for a small business just for the sake of making money. But on the other hand, it is pretty miserable - I've worn pajama bottoms all weekend! - and I certainly think they should know so this doesn't happen to another client. I'm not sure what the ethical thing to do is; please help!
