I haven't seen the news in over a year, my only access to election information is from the internet. Unfortunately you can't get a good feel for who the front-runners are from internet news sources.

paradigm_thinker: In my ideal election it would be Obama and Mccain, they individually represent the best qualities of their respective parties, but this isn't an ideal world and I don't want to throw my opinion away on candidates who are going to lose.

It's still very early, Jon..

If you listen to reports right now, they will tell you that it is Clinton and Giuliani

However, my assesement is that in the end, the actual election will be John Edwards vs. Fred Thompson.

Hillary and Rudy are in the lead now but I don't think they will both make it. Rudy will eventually be brought down when more people learn the truth about him. Hillary could still be overtaken by Obama. The GOP candidate will probably be Fred Thompson unless Ron Paul gets REALLY lucky.

The GOP will lose the White House and both Houses of Congress in 2008. In fact, if they're not careful not only will they lose the Congress, but they will lose by a margin large enough as to prevent filibuster.

And they brought it all on themselves.

George Bush's legacy will be the permanent demise of the Christian Conservative politics that dominated the country since 1980.

You are in a great position, why would you want to mess that up?

The media bias is overwhelming towards whom THEY favor, but that is no foothold on reality.

Make up your own mind. Seems to me that if your only source is the internet, you should be able to read an article or something since even Yahoo! News has a political and election section.

It's definately early, but as of right now, it looks as if Hillary is the Democrat front runner and it didn't hurt that she just got an endorsement from General Wesley Clark and Guiliani is the Republican front runner. Not particularly my preference from either party, but that's how it stands right now.

It will be Hillary and Rudy

Hillary on the DEM side because she got General Wesley's endorsement and Rudy on the REP side because the nominee for A.G. used to be the judicial advisor for his 2008 campaign.

I hope Ron Paul for the Republicans and Richardson for the Democrats. I wish Ron Paul would win.

Hillary Clinton, Democrat but no clear choice in Republicans, as of now.
