how to apply for dual visa for india?

im a canadian citizen and before(4yrs.ago) that i had indian passport .. and now im planning to go india for long time and wanted to apply for the long term visa which is on and off entering visa for 5 yrs.. but somebody told me that i dont have to do that and i can apply for something called dual or duel visa.. plz tell me wat it is and am i eligible for this or not... thanks..

you will need to apply for OCI visa, single and multiple entries ,it is for 15 years ;
or PIO ,for 180 days and you will have to register at the local police when getting there,

You can apply as an Indian citizen again because dual citizenship is allowed.
