The president doesn't necessarily have to be the most popular of his time (i.e JFK), the best of the best (i.e Abe Lincoln, FDR) or the most controversial (i.e Richard Nixon, George W. Bush), just who YOU think made the US Presidency more 'lively', so to speak, and interesting. :)
You can even choose more than one and list them! :D

I ask this because I believe we'd get some surprising answers and I've always been interested in this topic - so fire away! :p

At the end of the night a Marine leaves a bar.
Outside he sees a nun. He walks over to her and slaps her in the face. Then he punches her in the stomach and knocks her over.

He proceeds to kick her several times and when he's done he bends down to her and says, "Not as tough as a Marine, are you Batman?"

My question then is, do you have any better ones that I could save?

People only look at how tough the boot camp is and think the marines are better soldiers.

I have nothing against USMC. In fact, I think they are incredibly disciplined and awesome. And I also understand that the Army nowadays has grown soft. But that does not mean Marines are better trained. Boot camp is just there to break you then rebuild you. It doesn't really train you for combat in any special way.

I am a proud soldier of the great 101st Airborne Air assault division. I know of many units out there all they do is sham and be lazy. BUT My unit is constantly improving itself and getting stronger. My LT, for example, is ex-SF gone green to gold. My PSG is also ex-SF. I am EIB and Air Assault qualified and so are most people in my platoon.

I probably killed more terrorists than the marines did. After we have more combat experience than the Marines.
Don't get me wrong people...I love the Marines. I just hate those people whos never been in military and they talk crap

I always read those things in the news about the big peace marches in Washington D.C., and it irks me that whenever I learn of one of those big organized protests, I always learn about them *after* the fact. Can anybody tell me how I can find out about large war protests/peace demonstrations in advance? Thank you!

What combination of idealogy in politics and principle would you say makes your perfect poitician? What would your ideal politician do or not do that would seperate them from the rest of the very shallow pool of choices we have to fish from? Remember, in more than 1 year we may be choosing someone with your ideals for our next leader.

When an individual is intoxicated, and is operating a moving vehicle, the officer must assist the intoxicated individual to their home or place of stay. After assisting the intoxicated individual to their place of stay, the officer must give a precinct card, that shows the precinct number and the officers names, to the individual they assisted for a safe return. Notice of the assistance will be printed and shown to the public, with the names of the officer and individual (individuals) they assisted. Furthermore, it is optional for the individual/s they assisted to donate to the precinct of the officers that helped. If the donation is made it will be printed and shown to the public.

Furthermore, individuals who notice another who is incapable to operate a moving vehicle may call on the officers to assist in aiding an intoxicated individual back to their place of stay as well. And the individual who called the officers to assist will be given the option to donate to the officer's precinct.

Do you think that America should be just one big ol' country instead of a continent. Wouldn't that be pretty cool and end all this immigration stuff and we could go live in an awesome tropical island and work there with a fresh ocean breeze?

I was suspended because a guard at my job said i said something immpropriate. He reported 2 weeks later. I stop talking to him way before he reported me to my boss. My boss that hates me was very vague on telling me what I was suspended for. They did not give me a chance to defend myself. I have two bosses and neither like me , because I speak up. They suspend me over the phone and it was not that call me. I call them the brush me off the phone. Each boss tranfer me to the other. This is when my boss claims this guard said that I said something immpropriate. My then tells me you will be off for a while until an investigation is done. Now keep in mind they did ask me anything. I live in Michigan and it hard to find work. I am a mom. This guy lied on me and waited two weeks to do it, because I only work weekends. So can some one tell me whats going on. Is my job trying to trip me up. The word is going around on the job the he said, I sexually harrassed him. This is a lie. What can I do.

They have informed me not to believe any thing my recruiter says. So how do I make sure I get a god job? Also how do you go about trying to get one of those bonus I keep hearing about?

It's very simple and one I learned when I worked in news for a decade.

Its the way people, world wide, read the news.

Most people read the headline
Then followed by a much smaller percentage reads the first three paragraphs
Then followed by a small minority read the whole article or news story.

Therefore, since the vast majority of us get our news from headlines, then the headlines rules mosts political thoughts.

Which makes Goebles statement that to tell a lie long enough the people will eventually believe it. And even if they don't, it puts a lot of doubt in their minds.

The left and right is just as guilty, though I would say the right does it one hell of a lot more because the left doesn't need to lie since they have all the truth they need from the right screwing America and the world from hither to yonder.

Thoughts?

Peace

Jim
