Nope! Just face the judge and say, "yes your honor, I did drive at 100 miles per hour, and no your honor, I didn't know that your children and grandchildren were out on the same street that night"!

It all depends on your- state, age, past record, and the speed limit that was posted at the scene of the ticket. Talking from the been there did that end of it. I'm now 54 years old and in 1978 I got a 97mph ticket on I-94 near Alexandria Mn. with a North Dakota drivers license and Dakota plates on my 914Porsche. The posted speed limit at the time was 65mph due to a gas crunch. I had AAA that bonded me out and the end result was a $180.00 fine and 11 points on my record. At the time you were allowed 12-- then you lost your right to drive for 90 days and at that time you got 1 point taken off and put on high risk until the points (at one off every 90 days without incident) were down to 4. To make it easier to deal with I would suggest that you go to court and be honest about your mistake in judgment. Ask at that time if there is anything you can do to reduce the penalty and last but not least don't come across as a smartass!! Otherwise his or her honor might just judge Judy on your butt. And you know how she can be! Good Luck! Let me know how it turns out.

You didn't say where you were from and this could be the key.
In France it's a big fine and they take your car, Germany depending on where you were depends on what's the likely out come. The UK and your going to be doing time. It 10% a 3 mph over the speed limit is your safety barrier over 20mph over the speed limit and you can be charged with attempted man slaughter. I'd expect to loose my license for a few years, about a year in prison and a couple of thousand fine.
The USA has a easy attitude to motoring offenses. You'll probably get a large fine and made to sit a few classes. It is possible to go to prison but unless this is your third offense it's unlikely

You got a speeding ticket for doing 100 MPH? Sorry...but you aren't going to get out of a speeding ticket for that far over the speed limit. I think the highest speed limit is 75 MPH on most highways - that is still 25 MPH over the speed limit.
Just suck it up. You screwed up and got caught. Just take the punishment and learn from it.

Nope. You are lucky you're not in jail for reckless endangerment and reckless driving. Do the crime, do the time. Unless you can prove you have a faulty speedometer, you get no sympathy from me and I'm sure your judge will feel the same way. You endangered a lot of people going that fast, so slow it down an show some concern for others out there buddy. Good luck with the case.

You did something REALLY dangerous, and you put other people at risk. Nobody gets out of a speeding ticket that's THAT high.
You don't want tickets, don't break the law - it's simple.

You got caught....your own tough luck. Pay the fine like a responsible person. And if your even more responsible in the future you won't get another ticket....or caught for that matter. You don't deserve to "get out of it".

Plead temporary insanity, or better yet, check into a Hollywood rehab. Presto, you're now forgiven, or so it seems to me. If that doesn't work, tell the judge that you were trying to outrun a swarm of killer bees and that you were successful beyond belief.

Enjoy your court date. It's possible they may offer you a drivers course to dismiss the ticket, but maybe not.
