How long will the Bush administration pretend they are trying to do something about the illegal immigration issue? Do you think that we should have had these issues settled right after 9-11 since our borders and ports are so vulnerable? If the government is doing the best it can then why are our borders and ports still vulnerable this long after 9-11? How long will the American people have to put up with lawbreakers trying to come into our country and demand rights they are not entitled to? Would you say the Bush administration has failed completely on this issue? What do you say....American?

Yes, I think the Bush administration has failed utterly at dealing with the illegal alien problem. I'm not, however, willing to give any democrats a pass on this as they ALL seem to be in collusion. This WILL be my issue in the coming election, and so far, the candidates on the democratic side have also failed miserably. They are even refusing to discuss the issue in debates and instead seem to be pandering to illegals on their Spanish language debate on Univision.

This is an issue that goes beyond the bickering of the parties. The person with the best solution is going to get the votes of those of us most concerned with this issue and our numbers are growing.

Yes in N.C
We are building new Schools and Better Benefits for the illegals. Taxes are going up for the legal working class. Congress should have stopped this 30 years ago. Congress has FAILED us for the past 20 years. Vote them ALL out
Illegal immigration started long before Bush was President

Are we making a dent? yes. I think it's closerto a door dink.

What is written in the news is that potential illegal immigrants are afraid of coming here, because of deportation. There are stories that the are sel deporting out of Georgia and Oklahoma. Of course it could mean they are moving into another state. What I have notice is that illegal immigrants are afraid to work in certain places and flooded into the sanctuary city. What I have notice is that there is an increase number of Hispanics begging. The numbers are still low, but prior, it was near non-existent. I seen a marked increase in Hispanics in the LA area, and i believe they are moving into sanctuary cities. As for the Non-Hispanic illegal immigrants, I heard through third parties, that they have employment problems.

The reason illegal immigration is not going anywhere is because a great many anti-war ideologues voted for Democrats in the last Congressional election. The bill to build a fence was passed and signed, but until a Republican congress enforces it, Democrats will divert your attention to health care and other things until they get the votes to repeal it.

The Bush administration is not responsible since it's CONGRESS that controls what laws are made. The Bush administration gets the last word if and only if there are not enough votes in CONGRESS to say otherwise.

Blame the democrats all you want for illegal immigration.... did anyone ever stop to think that its the big businesses that EMPLOY them, who bring them over by the TRUCKLOAD, who pay the coyotes thousands of dollars, that its them to blame? Congress can very easily get all those "law breakers" out of the country, by simply fining the businesses that have been hiring them enough so that it isnt cost effective. Then they will be out of a job and forced to go back. BUT... then who will pick your grapes, mow your lawn, or work in your sweat shops (and yes, america still has sweat shops.)? Our economy rests on their backs, they are too deeply ingrained in it to just up and kick them out. So stop blaming them and start blaming their government for not supporting them and OUR economy for giving them the opportunity.

Think about it: if you are living in a poverty stricken country, and some guy comes down and says hey, come up to this country and I can get you a job, and finances your whole trip up, are you gonna pass that up? no, didnt think so. Not when you have mouthes to feed. They have basic, human rights, and dont deserve to be treated like packmules. You dont decide who is "entitiled" to be treated like a human being. Sure, there are a few who come up just to live off SSI, but most of them are hard working, and dont even make enough to have to pay taxes.

Democrats are the biggest supporters of illegal immigration.

Just recently, Democrats sued the U.S. government when the government tried to stop employers from hiring undocumented workers that commit i.d. theft (social security ).

5) Hillary said immigration laws lead to police states. She doesn't want illegal aliens deported. "She said it would be "an unworkable scheme to try to deport 11 million people, which you have to have a police state to try to do" http://washingtontimes.com/national/20060309-120124-3380r.htm

6) John Kerry (who may still run) said we should immediately legalize all people. (Amnesty)
