I think we need to do everything we can to protect our livliehood, and as Mitt Romney said during the debate ... "I understand there are Civil Liberty privacy issues at stake in this, but let me make this clear, the greatest Civil Liberty that I can have, is one that protects my right to live." And I have to agree with Mitt on that...

Can I sue?
Was looking ast going to go to certain to of profession. I currently work in a profesion that hates this people in it. I didnt do well on the nesseary graduate school test as I had hoped. However a family friend who also works in the profesion told everyone I was wanted to be this type of profesion. Told my ex-boss and other people. I ended up swithcing jobs but staying in the industry. If my current boss heres the rumor and trys to fire me can't I sue my family friend for slander and the company I work for. Because the event hasnt happened it detremiental to my work the rumor of me going back to school and to potential future earnings in this industry. It would be slander under common law as i understand it correct?

I was wondering if anyone has any information on how to go about obtaining a document that would voluntarily terminate a father's rights to his child in the state of Florida? It is a difficult situation and much too extreme to begin to discuss on here, although my ex is interested in releasing his rights and starting a new family with his new wife. In looking out for the best interests of my child, I am trying to find information/documentation on how to go about doing this. Is there a petition that he can sign stating he is releasing his rights? He is in the US military at this time and going through an attorney will be a complicated and expensive procedure. Any way we can establish this between the two of us civilly and legally without involving an attorney? If anyone has any links to some documentation that would be a great help!! Thanks!

My son came in the house to show me that he'd been shot in close range on the wrist and buttocks by the neighbor's bb gun. The thing is that the gun doesn't even belong to the kids that used it! These kids live across the street yet play with the bb gun owner who is 13 y/o as well.

His parents after the incident took the gun and put it up in the closet along with his other 3 bb guns!!!

I'm very upset and met with the culprits' parents to see how to resolve this. I told them that their children need some serious counseling but is that enough? They seemed very reasonable but the more I think about it, the more I want to press charges.

The 15 y/o boy is the 13 y/o girl's brother and he shot my son in the buttocks. I'm livid!

Any suggestions? Any legal suggestions?

Meaning say if you did'nt successfully graduate high school, or to say the least you feel you did'nt, will the military just willingly give you your diploma. Or in this instince make your earn your eduacation.

I was watching CBS' game show where you guess how Americans voted in a poll. The question was 'Do you think the world would be a better place if America ruled it?'

Only 19% in the poll said yes. How sad. 81% of Americans polled obviously do not have a favorable opinion of America.

That question does NOT ask if you think America should invade another country. It doesn't suggest forcing ideas/democracy on other countries. It simply asks if America was in charge of the world, would it be a better place. And apparently 81% of those polled think America's government is worse than those who stone you to death for an opinion, or murder women for being outside without a male relative at her side, etc. This is where all the Bush bashing has gotten us. How sad.

How is it that Barrack Obama, who could possibly be elected our next President, is allowed to run for office after admitting to Cocaine use, but I can't get a job with the FBI or Secret Service because I smoked marijuana more than ten times in my life? for which i have 5 years parole. my brother is out since january and cannot find any job. he was a kid when he did the crime and is now a man who truly rehabilitated. I have a son, the result of a one night -stand, very mutual...The mother didn't contact me to tell me she was even pregnant, I imagine she just wants my money now, since I got a paternity test order through child support div. But I actually do want to be a part of his life. He is 9 mo already and I haven't ever seen him. I have only known about him for a couple of months now. I have no contact info on the mother anymore. Okay, so I have agreed to pay child support, but how about some kind of visitation. I have no money for an atterney, so how do I file a petition for visitation through the court myself? Like where do I find the forms, or do I have to have a lawyer to do this? Not what is best, but by law, can I petition myself? Could I hand write one and have it notarized? And don't judge me, I already have two kids who I am fully involved with, my kids mean everything to me, it shouldn't matter how they were concieved!

I have always had an interest in the Military and I was wondering if anyone had any kknowledge of the Navy EOD or Marine EOD i have talked to recruiters and they were more interested in me joining than my job interest i was just wondering if anyone had any information or insight into these two fields.
