I was in a liquor store in New Jersey; not buying anything, not touching anything, but standing in line with someone over 21 who was purchasing liquor. A man walks up to me asking for my license. I stated it was in the car and I would go get it. He follows me out to the car.. which I thought was odd because he was dressed in casual clothing. It turns out I left my license at the house. The man asked if I was 21 and I said yes... he proceeded to ask me about where I live, my social security number, etc. Not once did he state he was a cop nor was I aware he was one so, using my fifth ammendment rights I gave him inaccurate information. I did not know he was a cop until after he issued a police complaint to me for "mistating age". I believe this was a violation of privacy since the man never stated he was an officer of the law. I am summoned to go to court as I cannot just pay a fine and get it over with. I think this is completely rediculous. Any suggestions in my defense?

I don't think so. First of all, abortions are easily preventable because of abstinence and birth control. I know birth control isn't 100% effective, but it's close to 100% and in the extremely unlikely event that a birth control method fails, there's always adoption. I know people say there might have been exceptional circumstances that might have necessitated the abortion, but abortion is never the only solution. There's always a way around it.

My grandparents came from Italy. When my mom was young, people used to call her "Blacky" because of her darker skin. During WWII they enudured a lot of harrassment because of the Italy association with the tyrant, Mussolini. I'm now thinking I am entitled to some money because of all of the suffering of my people, pretty much like the American Indians or African Americans. Italian Americans have also suffered immensely, and I am wondering where I go to get some money to help me ease the pain of my people and compensate for this suffering.
Thanks!

In the Army, when you pick up trash, it's called a police call. I figured I'd catch on to it eventually, but now that I've been in for two years, I still have absolutely no idea why they call it that. It seems like a police call would be when you call the police. Does anyone have any idea where this term came from?

I once wrote-up a girl in my division, she was UA for over 24 hours and called in with some lame story about how her friend was in labor and could not make it, I told her to come in. She said that her friend's husband was on deployment and none of her family nor the husband's family available.

The Commanding Officer tossed it out, and gave her a warning, that was his decision, which I respect but do not like.

Of course conservatives will say the liberals are the racist ones. No need for that rebuttal.
This is in regards to the self proclaimed racists, and the neo nazi, kkk types, They also self proclaim to be conservatives. What does that tell us?

I'll try to be brief. I live in university apartments and i have been forced out of 2 units now because of the AC units seem to be linked and my neighbors use foul smelling cooking odors. I have gone thru my chain of command (manager, supervisor, vice president of housing, etc) and nobody wants to touch the issue because the offending people pay 3 times what i pay in university costs.

I feel this is reverse descrimination. they are letting a group of people torture me and not allowing me to "peaceful enjoyment" of my unit as per my lease. Has there ever been a case like this and if not, do you think it would stand up in court (I live in texas if that matters) ?

They know about the problem and won't fix the issue. for 9 months we've been suffering with a horrid overwhelming stench of liver, onions, curry and god knows what else.

These issues give me migraine headaches, nausea and my husband's allergies are going crazy. we can't use our AC unit or it will only exacerbate the prob.

Is it true that there are (or were) connections between the Bush family and the guy who shot Ronald Reagan?

I was just reading how George W. Bush's brother had a dinner engagement with John Hinkley Jr's brother scheduled for the day after Reagan was shot.

Weird.

When someone becomes President of the United States, do you think they should have some type of military training before coming into office to better lead in capacity of Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces? I know they have Sec. of Defense and the Generals to make recommendations, but as President, do you feel they would lead better in national defense with prior military experience?

I'm not an economist but it looks to me like this is the real choice that the US must make to have a realistic relationship with Mexico and cooperation to help control illegal entry.

And understand when I say export jobs: many of those jobs do not exist in the US today so they are not hurting US citizens. And more opportunity and prosperity for people in Mexico is not a bad thing for the US people.

With military force in the last century? Sometimes I wonder, since we love to use military force against brown, little
countries that don't behave. And the Mexican President constantly bosses our's around. Truth is both governments probably know something we don't....and they probably
think we need Mexico as much as they need us.
What do you think??
