many battles during the ancient times e.g. warring states peroid had involved massive army numbers...e.g. 240 B.C. state of Zhao itself sent 450,000 troops against Qin and State of Zhao is relatively a tiny area compared with the PERSIAN empire but even with the size of the Persian empire, it sent only 300,000 troops against Alexander at battle of Guagamela

We all know China has always been a heavily populated country but is it unrealistic for Ancient chinese battle to have such huge numbers of troops relative to its territorial size??

Your victim is at home watching television alone. You carry out you crime and drop one of his tissues / cigarettes / pens etc
at the crime scene. The police are busy. The evidense is conclusive. The fact that the peson has no previous criminal history is not relevant. We are all on the data base and the latest crime is DNA planting. The criminal goes free. What do you think?

Why has the administration allowed the 9/11 - Iraq connection continue to go unanswered? I seem to remember years of inspecting going on after Saddam Hussein signed a treaty and violated it several times. Hence the Iraq Liberation Act, which congress voted on (like 330 - 30) for the act. This was planned years ago by the Clintons.

There are insolated cases where parents have seen their children starve with nothing to offer. They made the decision not to simply come across the border but to risk their lives for the sake of their children. Tell me what you would it you were in this situation? Do not tell me what I already know. I know that the law has to be broken. I know that some feel that it would send the wrong message. GOOD, knowing all of this, Tell me what would you do if you were these parents? Forget La Raza and the special interest groups. Ultimately, they will not succeed. Be that as is may, take a good long look at your children and grandchildren, would you allow them to die if breaking the law would possibly save them?

This is situational ethnics.

I do not believe in amnesty or path to citizenship, so KEEP YOUR INANE RESPONSES OF HOW I WANT THE NATION TO BE OVERRUN WITH ILLEGALS!!!!!!!!!.

"Are you saying we should take our orders from al Qaeda?" stupidly asked Chris Wallace, imperialist shill.

"NO! We should take our orders from the CONSTITUTION!"

It doesn't get any better than that.

I'd put Franklin D. Roosevelt (he truly deserves it, and we would have 2 Roosevelts on Mt Rushmore - awesome!)

I may also put Harry Truman, Dwight Eisenhower and maybe John F. Kennedy.

Let us know your picks! :)

Jan 18, 2005 | Once upon a time -- about five years ago -- conservative pundits often talked about "scandal fatigue." Remember scandal fatigue? It was an affliction supposedly either turning voters against Democrats or, alternatively, a weariness in the body politic preventing Republicans from pursuing even more grievances against Bill Clinton. By any objective measure, however, after four years of George W. Bush's presidency, the entire nation should be suffering from utter scandal exhaustion.

Consider the raw materials of scandal that this administration has produced: False claims about Iraq's supposed weapons of mass destruction. Torture in Abu Ghraib. The virtually treasonous exposure of a CIA agent by White House officials. And those are just the best-known examples.

After all, how many citizens can name all the ongoing investigations of Halliburton, Vice President Dick Cheney's old firm? Who remembers that the administration illicitly diverted $700 million from Afghanistan to Iraq? Or that, on Capitol Hill, Senate Republicans stole strategy memos from Democrats, while a House Republican said he was offered a bribe during a crucial vote? Even a conscientious citizen cannot be expected to keep score, so Salon has compiled a list.
