Seems to me that Japan was denied this when the UN was formed, although it was never at war with the UN, and its government, since the surrender on the USS Missouri, has never been at war with anybody.

North Korea and Communist China have waged war against the UN. And since there was never an Armistice signed, but only a cease-fire declared, they technically are still at war with the UN. It seems odd that they get such preferential treatment by the United Nations.

On the other hand, Israel, CREATED BY FIAT of the UN itself; is treated like a dirt bag, and the UN is unwilling to do anything useful to promote lasting peace in the region.

The biggest contributors to the UN have been the US, the UK, and Japan. Why do they insist on taking their citizens' hard-earned money and forking it over to a bunch of corrupt idiots who are hell-bent on sponsoring Authoritarian dictatorships?

Still waiting for answers on the old "Who's gonna get prosecuted in the oil-for-food bribes?" question.

In his response to a question about Iran and their nuclear capabilities he said that we need to "Talk to them" It has been a well documented fact that should Iran become nuclear capable they would "wipe Israel off the map" and just who do you think would be next on their "world re-organization"?

How can anyone Not feel sick at this?

U.S. Deports Parents of Dead Soldiers
By Domenico Maceri, New America Media. September 5, 2007.

Three years after U.S. Army Private Armando Soriano, 20, died fighting in Haditha, Iraq, his father is facing deportation. Soriano is now buried in Houston, Tex., his hometown, where his parents, undocumented workers from Mexico, are currently living.
Before his death Soriano had promised his parents he'd help them get green cards. He only succeeded partially before losing his life. Although his mother was able to obtain a green card, his father did not qualify and is on the verge of being deported.
Enrique Soriano, Armando's father, is not the only person to have lost a son or daughter in the Iraq war and face deportation. There are more than three million people born in the U.S. with parents who came into the country illegally. Those born in the U.S. are automatically citizens and have all the rights and duties enjoyed by Americans. That includes military service with the possibility of losing one's life.

I tried to defend myself against a Temporary Restraining Order (TOR) and did not do a very good job in getting my side of the events before the judge, forgot to ask a few questions of the witness that would have brought some details to light and failed to sum up my position at the end of the hearing. Needless to say I am not an Attorney and did not know what I was doing or what to expect. Now that I have a TOR filed against me for the next 3 years is it possible to hire an attorney and challenge the original ruling against me?

If a soldier has sent checks to his girlfriend (now ex) whom he made it so she would able to cash them in and by their agreement place into a secondary account, his but under her name. But now since they have broken up she wouldn't give back any money that the military gave the soldier, and being on temporary leave from Iraq, what options does he have? What can he do?
