If you have your hopes pinned on Fred Thompson, I feel sorry for you.

Never mind the fact that he would be the oldest President ever if he won.

People will love that he is married to a domineering trophy wife:
Fred Thompson's 'trophy wife' runs the show

Even the Fundies don't like him:
James Dobson: 'Fred Thompson Worships Satan'

Police probably aren't lining up to support him:

And what did Nixon think about him?

"Oh, s***! That kid? He's dumb as hell." -- Richard Nixon, on Watergate tapes, after being told Fred Thompson was hired as Republican counsel
I would like to close with the most damning thing against him.
He's a HORRIBLE actor

I think it will come down between Thompson and Guiliani. Thompson will win that contest if the party's more conservative element doesn't back Ron Paul in an independent or third party bid for the White House; otherwise, Guiliani will win due to the growing strength of moderates in the GOP.

To be honest, I don't think either of them will beat Hillary Clinton. Don't get me wrong; the idea of Hillary as president terrifies me, but that's my take.

Fred Thompson will bring common ground and strength to the party, as will Newt.

Hopefully he will bring more conservative ideals to the top tier. Romney is the best IMO between McCain and Guiliani. I like Tancredo and Huckabee better than the top three.

I am looking forward to hearing him in debates. I'm very interested in hearing more about the issues. He is definitely going to make some numbers go down.

Little if any. He's merely diluting an already weak Repub candidate cluster.

His acting career is his strongest asset. It will get him far... It might even get him the nomination (he's got no competition for that), but it won't get him elected.

I think it will get really interesting now. I can hear Hillary's cankles knocking in fear.
