First in 2003, was Saddam and his 17 MAJOR violations of UN resolutions, which many here "seem to forget".......!, he was on them due to basically been basically a convicted felon (Saddam) on parole due to his little incursion into Kuwait in 1991, THEN all throught the 1990's violating his "parole" (UN sanctions) and getting away with it , and been asked to pay for those violations FINALLY in 2003!!!!

some of his violations were for example even firing missiles at our pilots in the UN "No fly Zones" imposed after the war of 1991, attacks that occured all the way up to the late 1990's!!!!!,

ACTS of WAR in themselves!!!!!!!! which were reason enough to go in there and kick his "behind"!!!!

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/htmlcontent.j...

http://www.highbeam.com/doc/1p1-19289981...

but again may here seem to "FORGET" that! or the "that is not important" fact!

...ALSO....never mind that the butthole paid money to terrorist attacking civilians in Gaza and the West Bank...never mind that right?????

and on and on and on...no , all we hear is the Iraq war was wrong bla bla bla......bulll...bull....bull.... !!!!

he had it coming to him period!!!!!

now after the invasion, it is Alqaeda in a small part there, but moslty extremists Sunnies (some which are ex-Saddam loyalists) and extremist Shiites who were oppressed by Saddam for decades fighting for dominance...!

If we leave, we WILL look like puss....s! since in that part of the world, streght is what is respected, period!

just like in a street fight, and one of 2 people fighting turns around and runs away, he would look like a puss...right?...right!

not only that, I guarantee you it would embolden them to carrying the fight eventually even to right here, in our soil, against us "infidels" as we are called by them!

my criticism has ALWAYS been that the invasion and occupations was done with NOT enough troops, and as a result Iraq got out of control, giving people the impresion and feeling that the war was incorrect...problem is THAT is a mistake ...to confuse a lack of troops and violence in Iraq with the Big Picture of why we had to do it all along!

Well.... No.

I do oppose the occupation of Iraq and I really don't support war in general either. The key word is " in general".

Argument can be made for war on a per situation basis. But I feel it should be a last resort.

I support our being there, because good things are being done for the citizens of Iraq.
The media sends us images of death and destruction, but never of the schools the soldiers are building and supplying or of the way the soldiers are positively interacting with and impacting the communities in Iraq... you have to search for this news, but it's out there.
I think a sudden withdrawal of troops would be the worst thing that could happen.

I support the good they are accomplishing by being there... and I support the war in general. I oppose the insurgents, and I feel that the current Iraqi government has a long way to go in working out the terms of their democracy... especially since they are having the basic problem of getting along with each other in the first place.

The general citizenry, however, are drawing great benefits by our being there.

No war is good, but sometimes is necessary. My family has been there in the past wars & my son was in this one. We can't sit around sitting on our hands all day when terriosts come into our country & do their dammage,so we have to fight back. I know it is hard to see the daily news reports that another US soldier died, but it is impossible to go through war without casualties. I don't like the fact that it has turned into a fight over oil & money though. Also,I didn't care too much from the statement that Bush made about his daddy & Husam Hussain :"I got the man who tried to kill my daddy". That made it sound like a little vengence was behind the war. I know it wasn't,but it just made it sound like it.

I definitely oppose the occupation and the fake "war on terror".

We invaded Iraq under false pre-tenses and a vast majority of the insurgents came to Iraq after us.

And it sickens me when the daily news reports that another US soldier died...when 75,000+ Iraqi civilians have been slaughtered (MANY from our forces and our 2,000lb "smart bombs") and I've yet to hear a story that covers that aspect of the "war".

A good documentary I just watched is "War Made Easy".

The only time I support war is when someone tries to take over the world, a la Hitler. Every war / occupation / skirmish since then has been about BS, and the US has had it's hand in 70 something conflicts since WW2 (directly or indirectly, a la Osama who the CIA used in Afganistan against the USSR, to Saddam who we supported).

War sucks. All war sucks. There is no "good war" from a soldier's point of view. Sure, some are necessary, but all war sucks.

no.
i support the war in and occupation of Iraq. though i'm not a big fan of war, i do support it as a lesser of multiple evils (as long as the alternatives to war are worse than the war itself)

I oppose war in general but now that i have been informing myself (through videos on youtube etc...) I am TOTALLY against the FAKE war in Iraq. There is NO reason for us to be there WHATSOEVER!!! We can't even follow our own laws never mind going 6000 miles away to a foreign country to try to enforce their nightmare policies. It's just barbaric and done ONLY for the benefit of the elite, the queen, the bankers, etc... Google "Jordan Maxwell" and find out the horrifying truth of who we really are slaves to (the Queen of England).

It's goes beyond whether or not support military operations in Iraq. I fully support victory, and in our current situation, we can't have victory without a fight.
