Apparently, when a senate committe supoenas's you once, according to Rice, you don't have to comply when they order you back a second time.
Funny but I thought that the law was blind. Meaning what is an order for one, is an order for all.
And it doesn't matter how many times they ask you back, wether it's once or a hundred times, you go, or end up in jail.

Thankfully it's just that typical rebublican attitude that will sink the party come 2008. So, keep up the good work Condi, your belligerent attitude and disdain for the rule of law is just what the American people need to see to boot your sorry **** onto the sidewalk come the next election!

What would motivate the government, or a corporation's board of directors, to lie about their actual goings on?

What motivates these people to lie, like they do?
Is it the thirst for power? Money? Both?

Why do they lie?
Why avoid the truth?

Would the truth jeopardize a power-grab? Would it cut into profits?

Where do you live??? Because I keep hearing from Republicans that the economy is great. Ironically, when I ask WHERE the economy is going great, no one ever states that info. So I have to wonder WHERE this great economy is located...

Wondering what your view points are on childhood obesity. Is it really a problem, or is it something hyped up by the media? Should the government intervene, or is it really a family problem that needs to be handled by the parents?

I just had a beautiful conversation with a new client, who is a Polish Immigrant and now a citizen . I noticed his accent and his name and asked about being a Polish Immigrant . Anyways, he says he came here 10 years ago seeking better opportunity . . . . And Found It !!
I went on to ask what he thought about Lech Walesa from the Solidarity Movement . And he said they thank God for Lech Walesa, Pope John Paul, and Ronald Reagan !! He said it was because of those men, who came down on the Soviet Union all 'all at once' , they they have their Freedom Today .

So I guess this question has 2 parts . What do you think about Legal Immigration ?
and
Now do you understand what Conservatives try to explain about the great accomplishments of Ronald Reagan ?
And the Pope for that matter ?

There is a girl at work who said, shamelessly that she is using her father's disabled badge.

She is not disabled, are you entitled to free parking aren't you?

The manager said I do not want to hear it because he has a disabled badge and he has a terminally ill sister.

Is this woman breaking the law?

"I wish I had not been involved in it," says Col. Lawrence Wilkerson, a longtime Powell adviser who served as his chief of staff from 2002 through 2005. "I look back on it, and I still say it was the lowest point in my life."

Why would such a well respected man with a brilliant career say those things about the intelligence given in regards to Iraq and their wmd capability?

Did he just want to assassinate his own career?

Of course he didn't. Logic dictates that what he presented to the UN was non-sense.

His aide goes on to say, ""(Powell) came through the door ... and he had in his hands a sheaf of papers, and he said, 'This is what I've got to present at the United Nations according to the White House, and you need to look at it,'" Wilkerson says in the program. "It was anything but an intelligence document. It was, as some people characterized it later, sort of a Chinese menu from which you could pick and choose."

Do your best to rationalize it and get back to me.

"Right now, Iraq is expanding and improving facilities that were used for the production of biological weapons."

United Nations address, September 12, 2002

"Iraq has stockpiled biological and chemical weapons, and is rebuilding the facilities used to make more of those weapons."

"We have sources that tell us that Saddam Hussein recently authorized Iraqi field commanders to use chemical weapons -- the very weapons the dictator tells us he does not have."

Radio address, October 5, 2002

"The Iraqi regime . . . possesses and produces chemical and biological weapons. It is seeking nuclear weapons."

"We know that the regime has produced thousands of tons of chemical agents, including mustard gas, sarin nerve gas, VX nerve gas."

"We've also discovered through intelligence that Iraq has a growing fleet of manned and unmanned aerial vehicles that could be used to disperse chemical or biological weapons across broad areas."

I am Canadian (In Canada politics are not a big "deal") I moved to the USA and have a hard time getting interested in politics. Today I am going to watch the Democratic debate, to try to motivate myself. I still have not really decided which I like better the Democratics or the Rebuclicans, I feel like most candidates lie or say they will do things they never do. I need to research more on both parties.I hear a lot people saying "oh he is a left winged or a right winged such and such" Why do people use this to attack eachother? Thanks for your help!

Now, we were going to get married, I and that foreigner, in two days, tomorrow, actually, and I decided not to. I called her, and we chatted as usual, and then I called all the thing off, by the fax. And I thought that we were done.
But the next day she started calling, crying and asking for explanations. First it was fun - I out her on the speaker, and all the office could hear and
it was hilarious. I let her talk and cut her off. But she keeps
calling, more 3 or 4 times, and talks about our baby (she is
pregnant), and asks to take care of them and blah-blah-blah.
Is there a law to protect me from her, me being an American?
Her calls and e-mails are tiresome.
