He has the funding bill. The funding bill America wants, the bill the kicked the GOP in the nuts over last November. If the troops run out money, the blame is 100% on Bush, and NO ONE ELSE. How could he do this to our troops?

The president is an idiot. Congress is worthless and the rest of the planet is rapidly hating us. From Katrina to Iraq and Gauntamano (sorry for the spelling if its wrong) our elected officials are failing us time and again.

So, what can we do to get the country out of the hands of these pieces of s*it?

I was talking to a CHP freind this morning and this subject came up, a Highway patrolman was killed on his motorcycle while chasing someone who failed to pull over. Some say the cops should never chase people because of the danger to both the officer and the traveling public. I agree it is always dangerous, but if some people have thier way and chasing is outlawed it's just one more victory for the criminals. The thugs have had a big enough impact on society lets not give them free passes to do whatever they want and they will if they know when the red lights come on all they have to do is push on the accelerator. Officers need the respect they had when I was a little guy, when an officer said stop it pretty much meant stop and no one questioned that command. Perhaps rather than banning pursuits we should let the officers catch up with the thugs who want to run and toss a grenade in the window, and yes if the window is closed shoot it out first. I bet that would stop the running!

or will you put the blinders on and only listen to the candidate you have already decided to back? This is the first opportunity to take a look at where the candidates stand with only a 60 second time limit to answer, the rhetoric will be cut to a minumum and they will have to answer the questions we want to see the answers to. let me know your thoughts..

I've asked a question similar to this. Basically, I do not want to offend anyone I'm looking for a solid answer. The Marine recruiter told me to lie. I know not to believe everything he says. I got sworn into DEP. I think I can still get out of the DEP. However, I DO NOT WANT TO... I want to join and do this its been a dream. I've never been in any legal trouble. I've heard of fraudulent enlistment. I'd gladly pay back the money for the chance but DO NOT want dishonerable discharge. If it came down to it could I say I was told to lie? I understand they probably wouldnt listen, but I need something I CANNOT get dishonerable discharge and I WANT to do this

My brother was involved in an accident. he was crossing across 2 lanes of traffic and didnt see a oncoming car. after the accident when the cops were at the scene a friend of his came to see if he was alright. the cops started making fun of him because he is a little eccentric and has blue hair. Why do they think that is acceptable when they are on the job. shouldnt they be role models?

Basically, the war in Iraq is being fought to stabilize the government. And all the money we're pouring into that country is not being met by any significant attempt on the part of the Iraqis to step up and take control of their own lives. Basically, they're welfare recipients.

Why are we okay with paying them and not okay with paying our own people? Same result - laziness and a lack of desire to support themselves.

Do you agree?

If prostitution was legal then some of the men that just want sex can go and get it there. They don't have to lie and pretend to like a girl, saving the girl the trouble.

If prostitution was legal, then women that choose to do this can have legal protection.

It will also lower STDs/HIV transfer.

the states can collect more taxes

Most importantly, men don't have to stay frustrated because of a cold streak in their love lives! It is so unfair that women can get sex whenever they want but men can't.

-------
Degrade women? Please...have you ever talked to a prostitute? It's all about making money. There's no morals involved. Morals should not be in laws anyway because everybody has different moral standards. Working as a janitor is degrading! Why dont we make that profession illegal? Telemarketing is degrading! But they still call you dont they?

Congress provided Bush with the funding bill the American people elected them to pass. Not only is Bush hurting the troops, he is ignoring American will. Why would he hurt the troops by cutting off funding. The Dems gave him a plan. The dems FUNDED the troops. Any lack of money from now on out is on Bush. And its no ones fault but Bush's if the lack of money harms the troops. What a wonderful commander in Chimp huh?

As I was leaving I stopped to talk to a co-worker and gave him my phone number -- he said he knew of a place I could get an even better job at. The wife of the boss (she's not a superior in any way, she's just a loan officer) yells at me and says that I need to leave or she'll call the cops on me for trespassing. So... I start walking out the door and I mumble "b*tch" and head down the elevator. I get a phone call from my boss saying "Due to the actions you took as you were leaving, we're holding your check for 30 days and there may be a pending law suit."

Okay, I was NEVER a troublemaker and the reason (that the boss told me) I was getting fired was b/c I was a part-time employee and they needed to make cuts. Yes, I was upset, but I didn't start any drama... the only negative thing I said was the b*tch thing. Can they really sue me and hold my check for that long?

A defiant Democratic-controlled Senate passed legislation Thursday that would require the start of troop withdrawals from Iraq by Oct. 1, propelling Congress toward a historic veto showdown with President Bush on the war.

Bush is expected to veto the bill. I don't remember much from my government classes, but is there anyway that even if Bush does veto the bill, that congress can still pass the bill?
