Congress provided Bush with the funding bill the American people elected them to pass. Not only is Bush hurting the troops, he is ignoring American will. Why would he hurt the troops by cutting off funding. The Dems gave him a plan. The dems FUNDED the troops. Any lack of money from now on out is on Bush. And its no ones fault but Bush's if the lack of money harms the troops. What a wonderful commander in Chimp huh?

First thing he is crazy moron. He doesn't care about the troops he stated this war will be his legend. He doesn't have a legend except the sorriest no good person that ever set in the Oval Office. He has enough money for the troops until July , their claiming their borrowing from other accounts. Get that lost stolen money that disappeared from site. He is a sadistic man a dangerous man just as dangerous as any mental convict in prison. He's rating is 22 , he stated he didn't care about his rating he couldn't run again anyway. He wants that money because is money hungry , he needs to take some money and help New Orleans and the people in America that are straving, bring our troops home, let Iraq defend their own country. They have had long enough to train , but as long as the troops fight for them they want even try to fight for their country.

Because the bill mandates our exodus from Iraq. This is what the American People want, not what George Bush wants. Bush wants an indefinite stay in Iraq at any cost. He cares nothing for the troops, he only cares for those that are making money on the Iraq War - big oil and the war profiteering war mongering industrial war complex. the very ones that President Eisenhower warned us against. The very ones that lied us into 'Nam.

He is going to find out he does not rule the U.S.A. I and my fellow voters do.

When our President is willing to sacrifice his own children to fight such a war, then I will support it. Until then, it is just the rich man sending the poor man to make the rich man richer. No, not if I have anything to say about it! We cannot get out of Iraq soon enough! It is not worth even one American life.

This whole situation is a bluff.

Neither the President nor the Congress will win. And our troops will wind up suffering one way or another.

Bush refuses to hear the voice of the majority and will veto what, in essence, is a deliberately flawed bill filled with pork barrel add ons.

Because even though he claims that Democrats are only doing this to prove a political point... that's exactly what he's doing. It's a non-binding resolution, meaning, if they don't meet the deadline, nothing bad happens. So passing the bill is basically meaningless as far as a pullout date is concerned. Bush won't sign it because it means he'd have to acknowledge that the American people are tired of writing blank checks to support the huge welfare recipient list that is the government of Iraq.

Its called politics. The Democrats have added the non-binding resolution to make a political point that the US should withdrawal from Iraq and the President will make a political point that he will not accept anything that mentions withdrawal. You must realize that most elementary school kids know how to play better, compromise, and share than our "leaders" in Washington.

The only troops bush supports are the ones he just extended tours of duty by 3 months for.

Most of the soldiers got to find out when their family/friends contacted them to let them know that they saw bush announce it on TV.

Sad.

Because he's playing poker with the congress. Both want to get their own way and the veto is a power that he has that they don't.
