Governor Jon Corzine of New Jersey, who was critically injured recently in an auto crash, is a case in point. According to reports, he was NOT wearing a seat belt and his vehicle was racing at 91 mph. Of course, he wasn't driving and his vehicle had its emergency lights flashing, which may have contributed to the crash. Can we assume that the governor either consented to or requested that rate of speed? And, if you're late for a meeting, can YOU speed down the road at 91 mph?

Is it possible that Bushie is playing politics with our servicemen? Bush will rather NOT appropriate the funds that is in the Dems bill... Bush wants America to think that the Dems are keeping the money but in fact, Bushie can line-item veto anything that he doesnt like in the funding bill.

Somehow we turned our anger over the attacks of 9/11 to going after Iraq. There was never any concrete proof that Iraq had ANYTHING to do with the terrorism. I've also heard that more terrorists come from other countries than from Iraq.

So, other than keeping the terrorists busy flooding into Iraq, how does this help stop terrorism? It seems to me that terrorist would be internally recruited here in the US, instead of coming from Iraq.

Call me ignorant, call me what you will, but these issues just don't make sense!! And have caused a loss of a lot of lives.

Another great hypocrisy from the wannabe right!

what "cut and run" means?

It means, "cut" our loses (human and financial) and leave the battlefield ("run" away).

Can anyone explain to me how the democrat's strategy is NOT 'cut and run'?

All I see on hippie's cars are bumper stickers with "Save Darfur" on them. I don't really know what's happening in Darfur, except some people are killing other people.

But yet, when we went into Iraq, and overthrew a brutal dictatorship, the Liberals protested. Why? Because Bush did it.

So, if Bush would have brought America into Darfur, and we would have stopped whatever bad is happening there, but some of our soldiers would have died (obviously), would the Liberals be protesting that, too?

We have no clear-cut enemies there. We are supposed to be "helping" the Iraqis, and they seem to want to sit on their laurels and not "accept" the help. If al Qaeda has made strides in Iraq, it is only because of our presence there. If we get out, they'll leave, too.

Lets see...

Elected to the senate as a Democrat in 1988
Elected to the senate as a Democrat in 1994
Elected to the senate as a Democrat in 2000
Ran as Democratic VP for Gore in 2000
Sought the Democratic Presidential Nomination in 2004
Sought the Democratic Senate Nomination in Connectitcu in 2006 but lost

After losing the democratic nomination in 2006 he decided to run as an independant saying...

"I'm a loyal Democrat, but I have loyalties that are greater than those to my party, and that's my loyalty to my state and my country."

After all this... is it really that hard to consider Joe Lieberman either a Democrat or an "Independent Democrat"

Here is why I come to this conclusion. They are againts laws actually proving you are citizen before you can vote.
They would like to see all the illegals from Mexico gain citizenship even though they have broken our laws.
They are for allowing people with criminal history to actually vote in elections. Do this party basically look at people as a number and as long as they vote for their party the end justify the means, is my conclusion incorrect if so why?

I realise this is not guaranteed but say, if one of my loved ones was murdered I'd want anything to be tried to try to locate their remains. I think this approach could be used in the Moors murders or the Peter Falconio case in Australia, for example. Unorthodox methods have been used in police work before, like employing psychics.

"The challenge before us, then, is whether we respond to al-Qaeda's barbarism by running away, as it hopes we do -- abandoning the future of Iraq, the Middle East and ultimately our own security to the very people responsible for last week's atrocities -- or whether we stand and fight.

To me, there is only one choice that protects America's security -- and that is to stand, and fight, and win."

-Senator Joe Lieberman (Independant Democrat)

You may recall this reporter, Ware, he's the one who recently mocked John McCain for suggesting the situation in Baghdad was getting better by walking through the streets. He said today that the dems' plan would be a disaster. So, as one of the Bush administration's biggest critics in the media, is he new a con shrill, or are dems and libs willing to admit that their "plan" will be a disaster and lead to far worse chaos in Iraq?
