No, they are usually too busy defending terrorists' rights.

Guess it would depend on what "terrorist" meant the week it was asked and who's side your on ...
Can anyone say who is really a terrorist and have it apply to all of them?
Sure we call some people one and not others but yet the others are doing the same thing the ones we call terrorists are doing ...
Iran supports the Shiite "terrorists"
Saudi Arabia supports the Sunni "terrorists"
Yet one is 'friend and one is 'foe ...

You're hearing one now. But that does mean staying in Iraq. The longer we stay there, the more terrorists there will be in Iraq. The war on terror is a global thing not specific to Iraq. When's the last time you heard this administration say anything about terrorists outside of Iraq?

With all the talk from the high and mighty about fighting terrorism, I don't see much positive happening. It's almost as hard to defeat a slogan as an enemy you can't find until they are shooting at you or blowing you up. Running around screaming at the dark about terrorists, doesn't defeat their thinking. They are here to stay no matter how loudly you scream. We can do more here than we can in Iraq to protect America.

Well, I'm an Independent who intends to vote Democratic and I talk about it all of the time. I'm worried, as are many of us, about the fact that Al Queda is operating freely in the outer areas of Iraq while small forces of them keep us busy in Baghdad. I'm worried, as are many of us, about the resurgence and influence of the Taliban in Afghanistan. And as time goes on, I get more and more po'd about Bush relegating the real War on Terror to the backseat so he could satisfy his obsession with Iraq, who by his own admission had nothing to do with 9/11. I hate terrorists, all of us do. It's this sort of hyperbole about Democrats supporting terrorists that is turning so many people against the Republican Party. We may disagree on what to do about the war, but accusing your fellow Americans of being soft on terrorists because they recognize the incompetence of our President in regard to this war is wearing thin with even many Republicans. Keep it up, all any of you are doing with this rhetoric is putting the final nail in your coffin for the '08 election.

You must not be a good Fox Tabloid watcher.
Don't you remember the famous interview that President Clinton gave that sellout wannabe newscaster Chris Wallace on Fox Tabloid Sunday a few months ago?
Perhaps you should check your history of the prior administraton's actions against bin Laden first?

Of course I would like to defeat the terrorists, but the attempts of the current administration are fruitless. We need a better plan. Like some intelligence work, which is severely lacking, then, and now.

You are hopelessly brainwashed.
One cannot "defeat" the terrorists, friend. For every one you kill, a hundred spring up in his place.
What you CAN do is remove the petri dish which BREEDS the terrorists.

Yes, as long as they think its the popular opinion. After 9/11 and terroists brutally murdered 3000 of our own civilians, even John Kerry voted FOR the threat of force towards Iraq. But then a minute went by and he went back to his kill us all to support peace ideaology which is so popular by democrats. As for a desire to defeat terrorists. Clinton bombed some stuff in Afganistan when Lewinsky went on oath. Other than that they want us to need them to protect us. which if they fail they blame on republicans for not fixing their mistakes and poor leadership.

Right here: I would love to defeat the terrorists.
However, I am a realist, and I know that terrorism is just violent hatred, and you cannot defeat hatred. A war against a concept or an ideology is a fool's war.
Waged by a fool.
