How much does the executor of an estate get as fee or commisison for the work involved in Michigan. Also, above filing fees, how much can the attorney charge for his part in this?

I left a restaurant without paying...long story - I offered to pay for some of the food eaten but not the burger - because it was wrong, twice, and I didn't eat it/much less touch it. Got a summons in the mail yesterday I have to appear in court - the bill was $20.

I don't want to have any criminal charges against me; I never have been in trouble with the law before.

I can't get in touch with the prosecuting attorney - I've left SEVERAL messages for him and he hasn't called back.

I don't live in the state where this happened; never going back if I can help and I do WILL NEVER eat at said restaurant again.

Just looking for advice on how I should handle this - especially since the attorney won't return my phone calls.

Do I have any recourse? Is there someone else i could phone to discuss this matter?

Please...advice would be wonderful!

Thanks!

Why on earth does the American civil liberties union (ACLU)
support these people?

2007-04-26 07:46:40 · 11 answers · asked by Greshymn 3 in Politics

meaning they believe in:
- traditional backward values
- religion in government
- prayer in the school
- being tough on crime (chopping off hands and heads)
- conservative dress codes for women
- that there is too much sin in the world (with the mtv, gay marriage, sex on tv, toe showing from under burqua)
- that we should turn back the clock to idealized times that never existed
- that the end of the world is near
- that theirs is the true religion and the others of satan
and
- that killing in the name of God is sometimes justified

and that they oppose:
- feminism (they want women in their mud huts cooking and taking care of children)
- liberalism (the exact opposite of fundamentalism/fascism)
- secularism
- humanism
and
- atheism

GIVEN ALL OF THAT WHY WOULD SECULAR LIBERALS LIKE MYSELF WANT THE ISLAMIC FUNDIES TO WIN? WE CAN'T EVEN STAND OUR HOMEGROWN FUNDIES.

THIS IS IN RESPONSE TO CLUELESS CONS SAYING LIBS JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND TERRORISTS WANT TO KILL US.

So there is one judge that is terrible that fills in when another is out. Can my lawyer run out if he learns it is that judge and try the case another day when the correct judge is back?

From "Stupid Marxist"
" Yes, leftys hate Capitlalism with more passion than they hate Al Queda"

(giggles at that crap for a second)

I'm sure all the well-healed liberals aghast at the violence in the Middle east will agree with this bit of wrongful nuttiness( eyes roll).
