i need to know if someone had stole £3200 from his company,got caught and charged.admited it and sent to court for theift and forge (forged reciepts)IF he was to be sent down (95 % chance he will not) how long would he get.its first ever offence.

Not familiar with the sentencing laws of the UK I can only use my experiences from the court system in the US.

As a minimum I would believe a court ordered restitution for the stolen money.

Additionally, I'm sure the UK has some sort of probationary laws therefore I could see that happening as well.

Courts like to see "responsibility" on part of the offender. By admitting your guilt, that was a start.

Most courts also realize that being in jail is counterproductive to paying restitution.
