Don't worry, the right wing nutters are in their death throes and they know it. They will soon be lying in the gutter where they belong!

Its sad that they are so scared of communism that they'd sell themselves into slavery for the sake of capitalism. We've found a middle ground that gives opportunity to most people, and we need to be careful we don't slide back to the 1930's. I don't know any liberals who want to be socialists, there are just a few who want a couple more socialist programs. (Socializing health care may be a bad idea, but keeping health care as-is is much worse--even people with insurance get screwed by our current system all the time.) People (on both sides) need to get rid of their isms and look at how their causes affect people in the real world.

Lately it seems some on the far right, the more vocal among them, are full of crap. It is really sad what they have done to the GOP. Just because someone doesn't agree with their narrow viewpoint they resort to saying they are opposed to capitalism etc. when they don't know each and every member of their opposition. I, for one, am a capitalist and proud of it. I need to be in order not to starve after I retire. Under the neocons there would be no Social Security so I would have to get money to live on from somewhere. My 401K and IRA are doing just fine. So are my other capital investments.

What is a "well-healed Liberal?"
Is that like someone who has come to terms with their illness? Be aghast at the violence and leave the Iraqis to deal with it?
I think you meant well-heeled. Whatever. Nice shoes.

People that live in America love their COUNTRY. They just don't necessarily love their GOVERNMENT.
Republicans play the same game when Democrats are in power. When Clinton was in office, the Repulicans were the ones that acted like they hated America.

It's funny in a sad sort of way. They say things repeatedly and are spoon fed so much that they actually begin to believe it.
As an aside, I encountered a question earlier today about Al Gore being evil for selling his books and movies on global warming... Um, isn't that capitalism? How can we, Liberals, both hate it AND embrace it?

capitalism isn't free enterprise. Capitalism puts money above anything else. Free enterprise allows a person to work at any business he or she desires.
