Bush and Bush alone has the power to grant the funding at this point. If anyone is holding out it is him. The ball is in his court but, Bushie doesn't want to play. He wants to cry foul and not do anything. The political pissing contest needs to end in the White House. Bush is supposed to be our leader. He needs to step up, work on a compromise. He needs to set the example for one time in his political farce of a career.

Bush is vetoing the funding for the troops...So I would say he's the one tying it up with politics...benchmarks are good enough for corporate missions, I wonder why the pro business Republicans have problems with them now!!

Bush has the bill. It is his decision to fund the troops or not. By continuing funding and leaving open the time table Congress is doing the troops a favor not the opposite.
