I agree - and furthermore, ALL cars should get a minimum 30 MPG and gas eaters like SUV's should be against the law unless someone can prove they need one.....

Depends how many people of car driving age there are in the household?
If you mean the traditional Mr, Mrs plus kids household, then I see your point. However, I don't agree with it. It's up to people how many cars they have and what they do with their hard earned cash. Each person can only drive one at a time right?

Difficult one. I am of the opinion that we should all make an effort to be greener. Placing a such an onerous restriction on a society like ours (i.e. one which is obsessed with 'our human rights') would not work.
I cannot think of a sensible penalty and it would be so easy to simply register your 3rd car elsewhere.
Another point is that there may be more than 2 people living there. Suppose it was a large family of say 7 or 8 (unliekyl but possible).
Too difficult to enforce but I do agree we should all make the effort and recycle, etc.

i disagree because thats discriminating to certain people. I know of a family who have 4 cars. 2 are the parents and the other 2 are the kids. you can't expect them just to deal with 2 cars or kick the kids out to keep numbers down. but they have a driveway big enough to fit 3 of them on.
tho i do agree if they have more than 2 cars and no driveway then they should ensure their neighbours have ample parking space by finding alternative means to free up the front of other peoples houses.

Well this would be against the 14th amendment's due process clause...to deprive property.
What about in families with a college student with a car...or parents that let a child or family member live with them for awhile...they would have to sell their car to have a place to live? And you are telling a person who earns enough income you are not allowed to buy a 3rd car for weekend fun driving...or if you use a work truck you can't have a personal vehicle....The state would have to prove a rational reason for this...and as of now I can't see one.

i dont agree. i think if you have the money and have worked hard for it you should be able to have as many cars as you want. Some people have one for fun, one for work and one for others in the house. maybe you have 2 kids a wife and yourself. Should you only have a car for you and your wife?

I do not agree.
My reason is that it isn't anyone else's business how many cars someone owns.

Not necessarily..when I get married, I want to have a sedan, my husband (fiance now) will probably have a coupe, then we want to get a family SUV when we have children. And, when our kids are old enough, they will get cars (with their own $$), but they def are not driving mine, so not all homes will have just 2 cars.
