If Iraqi citizens refuse to fight and die for Liberty, why would anyone think Iraqi citizens will sustain Liberty achieved from a foreign occupation?

Liberty is an American term. Perhaps we should let them have the government they WANT, not something we impose on them.

Crazy, I know.

Having served in Iraq for the initial invasion, I can tell you this: Many Iraqi's would happily fight for a better life.

The problem is, things arent as simple for them as they are for us.

Most of them are stuggling to keep their families alive. There ARE definitly some that do not deserve our gift of freedom, but most of them do appreciate it.

Anyway, do those who know nothing about Iraq besides what they see on television have the right to comment on them?

People get the government they deserve. If you're not willing to fight to oust a dictator, you deserve the dictator. If you're not willing to vote out a moron, you deserve to be led by a moron. If you won't defend your own country, you'll be ruled from abroad.
