Call me dumb as a Con, but I just can't see the benefits from this Iraqi invasion for the American tax-payer.

The war in Iraq is not about revenge for Bush. We won the first Persian Gulf war. There is no need for revenge. The war in Iraq is about terrorism. It is about protecting the US from terror attacks. What good would not having spent billions of dollars do the US if we have suffered several attacks on US soil?

We need to use the money here

I mean just look at our healthcare system or even social security. We have more problems here than we know what to do with

Well you see, we had to invade Iraq to save us from the danger Saddam posed, and we have to stay there to save us from the danger that the lack of Saddam poses. Makes perfect sense, doesn't it?
