He isn't the 1st or 2nd, but third to the throne, meaning he's never going to be our future king. So i don't know why everyone is getting uptight about him going. The chances of him seeing proper front line action are very small anyway, so i shouldn't worry. He'll be back home and on the beer again in no time. What is worrying, is that he'll be commanding men with so little experience, merely because of who he is. Not right in my book. An army cadet should start at the bottom and work their way up, the same as everyone else, whatever their family name. Its as bad as hereditary lords making decisions on our behalf.

I think that the media should stay out of it. The argument that Harry being in Iraq would pose a threat to other soldiers in his battalion is a valid one. The terrorists would love to brag about killing a British royal on their TV channel. However, the media on our side is right there telling the world what battalion he is with, then,if it happens and he does get deployed to Iraq, when and where his unit goes, what his daily routine is, etc. He could do a better job serving as a soldier if the media would protect his privacy and his life by respecting the privacy and security of the prince and, likewise, the soldiers who serve at his side.

I don't think he should be allowed to go.
Not because I give a damn about if he lives or dies but the fact that any soldier serving in Iraq wearing the same cap badge will be in so much more danger because he is there.
If he is a true leader of men then he must accept his presence there endangers his unit, and needs to lose the Ego and accept the best thing he can do for them is stay home.

The spare should stay home and clean his castle. Why should his mates have to not only put their own life's at risk, but have the additional burden keeping Harry out of harms way. In some ways you have to admire the spare for his courage to fight, but he knows he will be protected at all cost, so you don't know if it is real bravery or a kid wanting to play soldier. Also you have to give him credit for at least wanting to serve his country. How many kids in the USA with fathers and mothers in positions of authority have their kids serving in the military. You will never see Bush's trust fund brat twins do anything other than party

World war 3 for what? Look, the person standing under a tree is the one that knows best what the wind is doing to the tree. Kids of the ordinary people have been dying over there. Let him go under that tree and see what the wind is doing.

McLovin says that if Prince Harry wants to go fight in Iraq, then let him.
McLovin says thats very honorable, not like the other sissy British Marines that were caught by Iran.
McLovin has respect for anyone who has the courage to stand by his friends in the face of danger.

No way should he go, he would be a sitting duck.
They would try and pt him in a job that he would not be exposed to any harm.
But cmom why take any chances, I think it noble of him to want to go but it would lead to so much trouble if anything happened.
Imagine if he was captured, now there is a nightmare.

Part of me wants him to go, to see if he is willing to walk the walk as well as talk the talk. But I think his presence will perhaps put those serving alongside him at more risk? Assuming that it's possible for there to be any more risk to them in this stupid war?

No he should not go. He would be a liability and might not end up getting his own ears cut off but will put other soldiers in danger looking out for him.
