He has the funding bill. The funding bill America wants, the bill the kicked the GOP in the nuts over last November. If the troops run out money, the blame is 100% on Bush, and NO ONE ELSE. How could he do this to our troops?

Bush says he doesn't believe in time lines, yet I can
remember, quite clearly, him giving Saddam & his sons
48 hours in 2003.
I can tell by today's news, Bush didn't watch "A Record
of War Lies" on PBS last night. After that show, one would
think he would be doing anything to redeem his self.
He's cluless to the point of danger, for the United States
& the rest of the world.
And, it's obvious he forgets that he's supposed to be
working for the American people & not Cheney & Rove.

Bush is not cutting off the funding for our troops. He is simply refusing to sign a bill that sets a time table for withdrawal from Iraq. Yes, his not signing the bill does mean the troops do not get there supplemental funding right now. By vetoing this bill, the congress will put forth a spending bill without a time table because they do not want to be seen as not funding the troops either and Bush will sign that one.
How do you know America wants that funding bill? I do not want that funding bill. Do you have a source for that claim?

Who says that this is what Americans want. If we completely with drawl now, there will be a civil war in Iraq and there will be a blood bath. Can you sleep at night knowing that thousands and thousands of women, men and children were slaughtered because we decided that(no the Democrats decided that this war is no longer worth fighting). There needs to be a different approach taken with this war( let the soldiers do their jobs, kick some butt and take some names)!!!! You can bet your bottom dollar that anybody in Iraq that was supporting this war will be put to death. Great idea to completely with drawl. This bill is stupid, give the soldiers the frickin money so that eventually they will be able to come home and quite using our soldiers as pawn. This is a big power struggle between the Dems and Repub as to who can control the military. Let the military do their jobs and how about Congress getting off their high horses and looking into the serious issues right here in our country.

This question is what bad about yahoo answers. Kicked the GOP in the nuts?
I saw that it passed 218-208 in the house and 51-46 in the Senate is what you call what america wanted?
Man you are not seeing thing clear, never mind the difference of opinion, how can this be such a decisive margin and the fact that he has been pleading for more money, but the dems want to put a timetable on the bill.
How can you fight a war with a timetable, this is crazy.
This is about the same as that nutjob Pelosi going to Syria.
Someone better do something about the ****** traitor before she gives away our launch codes or invites terroist over for tea.
What is this crazy ***** doing?
You liberals are anti war, you will have a war on your front porch soon and then you will blame it on the Republicans. WTF

It is called compromise.
com·pro·mise
NOUN:
A settlement of differences in which each side makes concessions.
The Bush administration lacks that ability.

You keep thinking that so you can sleep at night. This is the sickest display of politics for political power that the Democrats have ever done in my lifetime. If you pull the troops out now 1000's of innocent Iraqi's will be slaughtered.
And it's all your fault. This is immoral politics and lives are depending on it. This is a pathetic attempt by Dems to blame Bush for the war that the Dems voted for so they can get more stupid antiwar voters to vote for them and regain power in government. It's all about power and control for the Democrats even if it means senseless slaughter of innocent Iraqi's. Anyone with a conscience would veto this bill.

He wants money for the troops. You even said it in your question. Do you even think before you ask something stupid? He doesnt want a deadline for the war. Why would you get into a fight and tell the other person "hey Im gonna stop in a minute whether we are done are not. But do you think you can give up anyways?" Of course they will be like hmm you mean I can just ride it out til you leave? Of course they wont give up.

He is a stubborn old fool. Don't be surprised if he vetos the bill and tries to blame everybody else. People aren't stupid, at least about 72% of them aren't stupid. Let's see what happens. This should be interestin.

How do you know what America wanted? Likely most Americans do not even know what was in the bill. Like the post above I think its awful to use soldiers serving their country in a hostile country as pawns no matter what your political view is.
