Did you see the results of the investigation of his 'Carbon Credit' program ? They're saying it appears to be a scam . No proof or accountabiity of trees planted or anything .

Vernon - Would it shock you to know that I'm a conservationist ? I've built and planted gardens for wildlife all around my property . Bird and Butterfly gardens as well . I've restored the woods surrounding my house, because it had gone through years of neglect and storm damage . I've planted countless trees , both on my property, and on the surrounding properties . Hey Vernon....I live on 25 acres of WOODS!!!! I would not let the builder of my home cut down more than approximately 1 acre to place my house on!!! I love nature (bears, foxes, raccoons, chipmunks), I have natural landscaping, I feed certainly animals (not the bears) and I let all animals live in relative peace on my property (even the bears) and I love my PRIVACY!!!!

I am amazed at the way you Bush Leaguers are claiming that Gore's personal life affects the validity of his cause. How intelligent is it to shoot the messenger?

Of course that is the Republican way, from Joe McCarthy through Newt Gingrich and on into today. Rather than attack Democrats on the basis of ideas you attack and vilify them for supposed flaws in their personal life. All this says is that you don't have any social program ideas of your own, beyond saying "no" to any changes.

Keep it up! The American people told you that they want an end to that style of vicious partisan politics when they gave the Congress to the Democrats, and you are not listening. They will tell you louder next year.

If the GOP cannot convince its nominees to engage in a civil debate that respects the right to disagree, we will put Senator Clinton in the White House kitchen to cook you an eight year shitburger. We are tired of bullies and name calling, and given the ballooning Republican deficit we are less worried about Liberal spending than we are annoyed at your churlish and undemocratic (pun intended) behaviour.

As for Gore's message, I suppose all you economic growth addicts have never heard of the South Seas Bubble. Look it up, and ask yourself if unrestrained capitalism is without risks. We can consume our own life support, and drown like yeast in our own overheated excrement. One thing we can be sure of, though, is that when constant consumption has killed the last tree and the human race is dying you Republicans will be blaming the Democrats because sales are down.

I don't know what Gore thinks of himself, but Bush has him beat again . Bush took no fewer than 68 flights on Air Force One to private fundraisers for the 2006 election. Better yet, "taxpayers pay the full $57,000-an-hour cost of flying Air Force One regardless of the trip's purpose".

just assume for a moment that he is correct in what he says. if the benefits of his travels out weigh the cost of the message, then it is worth it in the long run.

by the way, Gore hasn't used nearly as much "fuel" as our President has used just going back and forth on vacations alone.

be careful Earnest - if any so called Liberal talked about the gardening and butterfly houses as you have mentioned, they would be called "gay" by your Conservative counterparts. At the very least they would be called a "tree hugger"....
