OK.. we have a bearded dragon.. and we would like to get another lizard. We were going to get another bearded, but this past week we have been watching our friends bearded dragon while they were out of town, and we had to move our friends bearded to another room because he was stressing out our bearded really bad. We had our friends bearded where we are going to put our new lizard (directly across the room from out bearded) but we dont want to stress our bearded.. Any suggestions?

i'm looking into getting a ball python and want more information.

i read up on how the humidity is important for the snake. would a small rubbermaid tote with a hole cut in the top work for a soak-safety zone? and if i didn't get that, what would be a good way to ensure the humidty level.

also, heating mat vs. a heating lamp. what's the difference/pros and cons of each?

any bad things about the ball python i should know about? do tell.

<3 thankyou.

I know not to feed them pinkie mice as was told that these can cause inpaction. what size of cage whould you go with? And what do you feed it? I been feeding collard greens , mustard greens and crickets but he dont seem to what to eat his salad he is new so maybe he just needs sometime to settle in. Also do they like to have 2 in a cage meaning can u keep them together i have heard that they are social and like another one with them then I heard that they dont and will fight male 2 male and that female to male will hurt the female as they want to mate all the time. Oh also do you put water bowl in with them or do you just spray them with a mister( sp?) thanks for all your help!!

I have a 4 1/2yr old yellow bellied slider turtle. I keep his tank very clean and filtered and I also use skin and shell treatment on him as directed. However, this week I noticed that layers of his shell are in the tank, not many but at least 3 pieces. I can see where the layers have come off but I don't know why. He is eating well and is active. I can't call my vet until Monday and I am curious what this could be?

I just bought a new Fire Belly Toad. My friend said that if you touch a toad that has warts, you can also get them. IS THIS TRUE?

I've owned bearded dragons in the past but they all have been very docile and have lived up to the reputation of the Beared Dragon but for some reason my latest one has been very aggresive and snippy. I've had her for two years and I've never been able to hold her. I would like to be able to hold her any tips or ideas are very much appreciated.

If you have a ball python, please give me some tips & advice for them. I've researched and found that they can fast for months and can sometimes be picky eaters, and is that all I need to be aware of? I'd really like one, pythons in general are beautiful and ball pythons are said to be okay for beginner owners.

And, how would I convince my mother to let me get a snake? ;] Are there any positives of having one?

Tell me all you know! :]

I am aware that it wouldn't be a rattlesnake anymore and just a snake.

Its a brown/black striped lizard with slick skin n a kinda long tail. If I have a heated rock, do I need a fluorescent light? I mean, they sell small containers for lizards/turtles. Those don't have a place to put a fluorescent light.
