He hasn't been well taken care of I can't find a local vet Nearest is over 90 miles away. He has been eating well I don't know what kind he is The best I can tell is that he is a Russian. He loves cucumbers and romaine lettuce also am feeding him commerial food . But I worry about him soaking in the water all day and night. He will eat right out of my hand so he is not scared.

help my daughter ball python got out of his cage.. she forgot to close it.. he is almost 3ft and a half long.. we have a cat in the house.. my bf cat and my daughter they share it...i looked all the dark places i could think of..my bf hates the snakes. he has a fear of them so he hopes the cat will catch it... i am nutral i want to find it.. i looked under the computer .. behind the tv.. closet where else can i look.. my daughter wont get of the computer long enough to help me.. but we put almost 3 yrs into raising this snake

i know they dont bite, and they dont like being handled much.. but what can you do with them? they dont really bite.. can you play with them outside the cage w/o having them run all over? whats a plan to get them into doing stuff out the cage?

New pet for us (about a week) It seems a bit slugish but it is eating alright. It has rocks and a hiding spot (dry) do we need to biuld a moist hide? Also we have a heat pad on the side but no uv light. teps about 85 to 65 in the tank

Hello again, i recently decided to get a larger tank for payton, my bd, and i have chosen a 75 gallon (6 square feet of floor space) anyway my house temp is always a constant 70 degrees. So i was wondering if anyone could tell me what wattage heat bulb i would need sence the size inprovent is a fairly large one. She was in a 40 gallon breeder before. Any responses would be great... thank you

Okay, so I am from North Carolina USA and over here its winter at the moment. One of my co-workers found a Lizard at work today (03-11-07) and he is not sure what type of wild Lizared it is, but I can tell you this Lizard is like a pale light green color and it is very small. He is just not sure what the Lizard is suppose to eat during Winter season. Maybe some of you guys can help me out here haha. Thanx in advance!

I have 4 hamsters, 3 dogs, 1 cat and 2 betta fish...But, i just LOVE animals and that is really all i care about. I have plenty of time, and money, so time and money wont be a problem(hence me saying plenty of time and money)...anyways. The reason my parents won't let me get one is because they think they have no personalities. Yeah, i know, thats a pretty dumb reason, no offence rents. So any ideas on how to get my snake(ball python)

I bought my first ball python yesterday (3.10.07.). Ive done a lot of research in advance but I was wondering if anyone had any tips for me.
Also, Ive heard your not supposed to handle the snake for the first weekso he can get used to its new home.
I plan on taking the snake out when i feed him.
Is that an exception for handling him during the first week?
(the pet store said it had been about a week since the last time he had eaten.)

I know that adults have heads shaped like an arrowhead, eyes like cats and the rattle on the tail but how can you tell with baby snakes?????

I saw two snakes this morning but didn't kill them because I wasn't sure if they were rattlesnakes or not. Heads were sorta arrowhead like but not really.... the tails were long and pointy like non venomous snakes.

I still probably should have killed them because a rattlesnake bit my chihuahua in the face and if not for emergency anti-venom treatment he would've died. Cost us $1500.

when he's asleep he has great color, but when awake, even eating he is very dark. BTW he is a Veiled and a male. Any suggestions on what / If I'm doing something wrong.

two of my redtails have died and they have only live a month each, my first one envy she was spining around and she was moving around her tank hiting her head on the glass, and she couldnt stay up right, so the next day she died.....


my second one moka, she was haveing sheding problems took her 3 weeks to get it all off, well we went and got her a mouse for her to eat like she always did i gave it to her before i went to bed, the next morning she had the face in...so i thought she was just haveing a hard time, and i realized i had over slept so i freaked out and got ready fast then left for work, well when i came home there she was same spot and and ferther in eating the mouse so i reached in there and pushed her.....she wa dead.....iv desided im not geting another until i know what iv been doing wrong...and i dont think im doing anything wrong there tanks were perfectly heated, i feed them when i should of, i changed their water everyday, mad sure it was humid in there and only
