I really want a snake, and have for awhile. My mom is afraid of them, but I'd really like one. What is the calmest breed of snake so I could hold it and not be scared of it also.

I just bought this tank and switched them out of a pretty big tank but this one is bigger. Could I put any more dragons in it. Or possibly basilisks. http://cagesbydesign.com/cages/specials_reptile.asp It is the R4 tank on this site. Also what could I put in a 3' tall by 18" wide by 18" deep tank

well first my tank isnt small and isnt big, jsut right in the middle, and i was wondering whats a bask? b/c i seen the word in alot of turtles questoin.....??? is it like a thing where they go up into dry are? if so can i put a small basking area in my tank for my turlle????

and do i need to put a lamp under my turtle? is okay if i use those 60 watt lamp??? or do i need to actually buy those eating ones?

and b/c its coming up to spring, is it okay if my turtle doesnt really eat alot? people keeps saying its hibernation. b/c my turtle goes up the water and swin then goes down and doesnt really eat that much.


if you look at the pictures, it the water too much? b/c my mum thinks so. if so how much water should i put in the tank.

and when i put the food, pellets,krill,shrips and it gets all soggy do i have to replace it, or wait till my turtle eats it?

yea i was wondering if i could use the thingy for my turtle, like cna it harm my turtle once i put it in their tank?. or do i have to buy a another one just for turtles?

and when they say those water turtles eat worms and stuff. is it suppose to be alive????

lol i feel like a newb spaming the ask question site.....
as u may or may not now i got a baby turtle yesterday and all day yesterday he didnt bask once. i would put him in the basking area and he would run straight fore water... i have to go to work today so i wont beable to watch him... i kinda think he wont go up to his basking place couse hes scared of it.... its a perfecty normal basking area....
my dad thinks thers to much water in the tank but i dont know.. its a 60 gal and its about 18 inches tall with about 14 inches of water with a water dock thingy fore him to bask on..... also i asumed he would sleap on the basking area. When i checked on him he was sleaping bobbing in the water is that how they sleap?

lol so my 2 questions are:
how long do they normaly bask each day
how do they usaly sleap

so i just got a baby red eared slider and i bought a basking light ,rocks, basking rock and i dont think i need a filter cause theres not thatt much water cause its a baby so i clean it every two days...i also feed it once a day with 3 pellets...am i missin anything improtant?

I have a baby gecko and I don't know what morph it is. She has a black-striped tail and at the beginning it has a very thin stripe of bright orange and then it is yellow with black stripes. It then has a white stripe and the beginning of the head. What kind is it?

she very rarely drinks water either and she still eats a day then misses a day shes only 3 yrs old and has only just started coming out of semi hibernation really will she pick up?

I think my water dragon has an eye infection. A few weeks back his eyes were crusting up and he couldn't open them. I increased the humidity and temperatures in his tank since they were off. After that he was fine, and his eyes remained open.

Now, even with those environment changes made, his eyes are gooing up again, and one was crusted shut last night.

What do you recommend for treatments? What do you think is causing this?
