He is dead, the spinal cord is part of the shell if it is out of its shell then it has no backbone and is definatly dead.

haven't you ever been walking down the street and looked down an ally and saw a homeless turtle digging in the trash looking for some greens to eat. this is a big problem in large cities. homlessness is a big problem and should be addressed as such if I have hit a nerve and you feel a need to send money or help in some way e-mail me and I can help you out with were to send your money! funny question funny answer
