I bought a water dragon and he seems pretty healthy, but his tail was missing when I got him. How long does it usually take to grow back?

Months, if not years.
Depends on the environment and diet. Do lots of research on the little guys and follow all the requirements.

In the future, pass on reptiles missing tails, toes, scales, or anything else. It means they were roughly treated and stressed out. Not healthy.

They strengthen everywhere from 24 to 35 inches and so as that they strengthen at the instant i've got study. so as that they're going to need a marginally better enclosure. A 50 - fifty 5 gallon tank could artwork wonderful :) havefun inclusive of your new dragon!

It doesn't really grow back it ends off and continues to grow like it would of. So he's tailis always going to be shorter then it should have been.
