For a water dragon you will want to use something like bed-a-beast it comes in a dried compressed log like state you put it in a 5gallon bucket with some water and it absorbs the water..then you spread it along the bottom of the cage. This works extremely well for water dragons..The Moist bedding holds water well and helps keep the humidity way up...just like you need it for a Water Dragon..Good Luck

I care for many types of retiles in a school setting. I switched alot of them to plain white paper towel. It is really easy on the animals skin, super easy to change when it gets messy and pretty cheap to buy. I love how I can see the mess on it right away so I know that I am keeping the cages really clean. Hope that helped. Susan C

I always got the green fake grass looking stuff. Its just flat green that goes on the bottom. Than I would have a tree, water, and heat. The green stuff is easy to clean. But they usually go in the water, so it all depends on you

I used to use a safe dirt substrate that were safe for them to eat. then I also used towels that are easy to change and really don't affect the dragons in any way, they keep the tank a lot cleaner.
