The SEARCH bar is such a useful tool to find answers with. It is a shame that so few people actually use it.
Yes, Vipers (the snake kind) are venomous and there are so many different kinds. Some Vipers are so venomous that they make a Rattlesnake bite look like a bee sting.
Rattlesnake bites in the US kill 4 people a year (average).
Russell's Viper (Vipera russelli) bites kill thousands each year in India alone.

The viper snake is very colorful and robust. The viper snake in the rain forest lives in wet places and also in mountains in small caves. Their bright colors in their skin help them survive.
The viper snake is a very short snake compared to most of the other type of snakes. She is 50 to 65cm long. But the viper snake has a very robust body. The viper snake has red and some have brown eyes they have yellow skin but some are also green. This color helps the viper snake camouflage. The viper snake lives in the forest floor.
The viper snake mainly lives in places that are wet in the rainforest like woodlands; riverbanks, bogs and also they live in mountains. The snake adapts by; they hang with their tail to a branch and catch their prey. Another way is when a bird passes the viper snake camouflages in the bushes and captures the bird. The viper snake mainly eats amphibians and the snake can stay a whole year without eating.
The diet of the viper snake is amphibians, small mammals, lizards and nestling. The way the snake kills its prey to eat it is, first they capture the prey and puts their venom in the prey and they wait for the effect of the venom and then it eats it. The snake protects itself by camouflage and also with their bite.
The bite of the viper snake is so powerful you would need instant medication because you would lose a lot of blood. The enemies of the viper snake are the birds when the snake is small because the birds eat small snakes, rats and humans. The humans are their enemies because the humans like there skin and they kill it so they can have it and wear it. The viper snake is endangered because of their soft skin, because it is so smooth that people like to wear it and also have it. They are also endangered because they are interesting and also because people have them dissected. The viper snake is an animal that can have a lot of babies.
The viper snake reproduces by the male following the female until the female lets him copulate with her. In the month of August the female gives birth to 20 live young, the egg stays in the females mouth until its well fed by the mother giving them food, and then they come out. When the young its ready to come out they are set free in the wild. The viper snake has a lot of interesting facts.
The venom of the viper snake is not used for predators meaning they don’t fight with the venom, the venom is only used for the prey so the viper snake can eat it. Ancient writings say that the touch of the tongue of the viper snake healed a person. The viper snake has temperature-sensing organism in their head. Their organs have the same function as a mammal's organ. Their venom has more than a dozen toxic components.
In conclusion the viper snake is a very powerful and interesting snake. It is interesting because of how it eats their prey by releasing venom and also because of how it holds the young in an egg in their mouth. So this is the viper snake.
