Yes, I have 4, I had 5 but one recently die. He was a rescue and he was constintly going to the vet for treatment because his past owner treated him horribly and he just couldn't make it. I also have rescued 6 other Iguanas and found homes for them.

Here is some info if you don't know it already.

They should be feed:

45% leafy greens such as escarole, dandelions, endive, mustard, and collards, NO lettuces or spinach! They aren't good for him.
45% hard mixed veggies such as an orange flesh squash the harder the better(acorn,pumpkin,butternut... fresh green beans, fresh peas, parsnip, and green bell peppers, NO broccoli or cauliflower, or avocado!
10% fruit such as figs, papaya, mango, pear, and berries. NO bananas, only very rarely as a treat.
NO ANIMAL PROTEIN such as bugs, meat, eggs, or cheese!

Cage size:

Minimum length (side to side): 2-3 x
Minimum depth (front to back): 1.5-2 x
Minimum height: 1.5-2 x

Temperature:

They need a basking area of 95-100 and normal temps of 75-85. NO heat rocks!

Lights:

They need a 5.0 UV light.

Hydration:

They should also get baths everyday or so. And should have a water bowl in their cage.

Vet:

You should take Your Iguana for regular vet checkups to make sure it is in good health. Reptiles can have internal parasites that can harm them so you should make sure the vet checks that.

Here are some good sites, the first one was recomended by my vet.

People in the United States buy and sell them,
but the trade in certain wild animals is sometimes illegal and I for one think the traders, both legitimate and black market sellers are devastating wild populations. You want to see an iguana, then go to a zoological park.

You may see pet shops with iguanas and other
sorts of exotic animals, but there is always the
chance that somewhere down the line the animals
were obtained illegally.

I had an iguana last week for lunch. It was delicious. It tasted just like chicken. Is that all you want to know? What is the point of your question? The person I teach with has one in her room. They are docile, but have razor sharp claws and a wicked tail that they can whip around. They like lettuce and other vegetables, and they need a heat lamp. People in Central America do eat them. They are supposed to be quite tasty. Do you want the leg or the thigh?

My friend does and except when he goes out somewhere, the iguana has the run of the house and craps all over.
