So my roommate came back from Florida with some boxes of leatherleaf fern. She put the boxes in the bathroom. Well, when she opened one of them up, a Green Anole sprung out of the box. We live in the mountains of NC where it is VERY cold right now. What exactly should I do with this lizard?? I know if I set him free, he will probably die with the cold weather.

I am an experienced keeper and had 5 burmese pythons that over the years turned into old men and woman and are no longer with me. Its been over a year now and I thought I would take on a snake that someone is looking to rehome.

I have a lot of experience and plenty of space so if its a 'biggin' then there would be a room converted.

I can also collect. I dont like the idea of purchasing one from a pet shop as I don't belive in the trade of animals - hence rehoming someone who needs a home.

Thanks

A friend of mine has a snake that has not eaten since Dec 10th and has been very weak and is starting to lose color. The snake originally had sand in his cage until we discovered that this was unsafe and now we have wood chips but we suspect that it swallowed some sand. It will not eat anything we tried live and dead food, we also took it to a vet and they force fed it with some high calorie substance but the snake is now losing color and is hiding under the water bowl contantly and is very cold all the time. Is there anything we can do???

Thanks

Is it possible to keep just snails in an aquarium? I've kept them with guppies before, but never just by themselves.
Also, what should I feed them? I know they feed on algae, but it doesn't seem to grow very quickly in our 10-gallon aquarium. Should I use a filter, or would that hinder algae growth?
Does the water need to be a specific temperature?
Any advice you can give me would be appreciated. Thanks!! :)

I have never had a bearded dragon. I only have a gecko that I take very good care of. I want to help this guy out. Someone I know doesn't care about it & has been in a gagage for a long time. the other day I seen it. It looked dead. It wouldn;t move when I tapped on the cage. But i poked it lightly & one side of his body raised. I tried to give him some water. He wouldn't react much. Is he in a state of stasis?? Do you think he has a chance?? Tomorrow I am going to pick him up with the cage and all (hopefully he is still alive). The only reason I didn't take him in the first place is because I had no where to put him. But now I will be taking him to work (family owned) to take care of him. He wouldn't open his eyes but he was alive. The gecko that these guys had died. I don't want this guy to die!!!!! Please Help. What should I do!??!

Got 2 newts yesterday, and their an inch long, orange-redish belly, typical pet store newt, just really small..lol
Their not eating, their in room temp water, but they hardly move, and at times they stayed in one spot for so long he turned greyish. So I took a spoon and poured water on him, or put him in the water..and the water has drops of stress coat in it. The guy at the pet store told us to place some in there due to Chlorine in the water. I know their not active pet's..but I'm thinking this is too abnormal? Their not eating at all, and just stay in one place. Will they eventually eat on their own? I tried to place pellets by them, but no such luck.

my slider turtle just doesn't do anything and won't eat its food.Maybe it's because my turtle doesn't have a tank and has very small space to live in.It also doesn't have any light bulb that shines on it. And it doesn't have any ledge to walk up and get dry. It usually sleeps and the water i put for it is not enough so it can swim into. It always sleeps and has very cold water.
