My 2 year old Cuban Knight Anole has lost his sight. He has been ill and under a vet's care for a couple of weeks and it has just come to our attention that he has now lost his sight. I have been force feeding him for weeks now and he has kind of gotten the idea, licking and partially opening his mouth when the tip of his nose is brushed for a while. I am able to get him to drink baby foods and eat worms. He has always been very sweet and loves to have his head scratched. I hate to euthanize this little guy if he can addapt given some time. Has anyone on here had a blind lizard? Is it possible to get them proper nutrution and to give them any quality of life?

Okay so i got them a few months ago as a gift, i know not very smart, but they were just born, i know illegal but i kept them and now they are about 3 months old and i just did research on them and they are snappers! I have a 2 year old niece who loves them and I'm afraid they will bite her. I don't want them any more due to that fact. What can I do with them, I don't want to just let them go. I live in central illinois if that helps.

It says at the end that the villagers tied the snake to a tree. Did they tie it in a knot? How exactly do you tie a snake to a tree?

My red ear slider's shell is soft. I don't know why because I bought him from people who had a bunch of them that came from Louisiana. He is a hatchling. I don't ever see him eat, but he could eat when I'm not around. I have a reptile light, an island for him to get out of the water, and one side of his tank built up with aquarium stones so he can get out of the water. I also have one of those cuddle bones but for some reason his shell is really soft. The underneath of his body is soft and his outer shell is soft. I don't know if he is a softshell or what because I didn't pay that much attention to his shell when I first got him. Please let me know what to do because I don't want him to die. Thanks

i have two red ear sliders. one of them is in perfect condition but the other one seems to hate water. I have to put that one in a tank with less than an inch of water since it seems he isn't able to float. i'm not sure about this but can they breath underwater? i know its a stupid question. someone help.

My leopard gekco isn't eating on his own. I took him to the vet and she gave me anibiotics and said to force feed him. That worked for a few days, but now he just spits anything I get into his mouth back out. He is very small compared to the other one that we have ( and we got them both at the same time and they were the same size) it's been two weeks now, and his tail is getting very thin. Does anyone have any advice on how to best care for him? He isn't getting better.

I've tried an internet search to find this out, but cannot find any information on this, so a snake expert would probably have the answer.

I got my baby spotted python in October, and while she'd always had shedding problems and slight constipation issues she'd always seemed otherwise healthy. About a month ago I noticed that she was getting... fat. I had accidentally missed/spaced out a few feedings (not to the extent of starving her), but I don't believe it was related. Even between feedings, I noticed she was getting FAT, almost bloated. She wasn't blocked up at all, and she didn't swallow any substrate. When I fed her (a little over a week ago) her food response was fine and she didn't regurgitate. her behavior in general was perfectly normal. The past few days she had been having major trouble shedding (par for the course) and with the odd (rather squishy) fat it made her look really wrinkly, but not abnormally so. Well, yesterday, she looked absolutely pathetic, wrinkly, and had severely impaired motor skills. I did what I could for her but decided it was best just to leave her alone...

I would like a lizard but would like to take a quiz to see which one fits my lifestyle. I would like one with the results of pets found at popular petstores like petco and not ones that I have to find by breeders. Thank You!

Are there any types of snakes that just eat insects? My nephew wants a snake badly and his mom says that would be fine but there is no way she will allow rodents to be fed.
