well pretty much any vet but u can do it on ur own, just use nail clippers and trim them but not too far if you trim past where the blood sarts in the nail it could turn out badly. If you don't know what u are doing it is best to go t a vet and let them do it and teach you while they are at it.

You could either take the iguana to a vet, or convince a pet groomer to do it. Clipping the nails yourself is not a bad idea but you have to be careful. If you look closely you should see a vein in the iguana's toenail. Do not cut the nail too short or there will be blood. What my mother did was buy a nail melting tool which actually melted the nail until it was dull. You don't have to do it very far. It's better to clip them more often and to be safe then cut them very short and take a risk of your iguana bleeding. Look online for a nail melting tool, it should work.

There should not be any bleeding. A fingernail buffer is the terrific thank you to shorten nails. only observe to the nail only, do no longer enable it slip and hit it everywhere. If there is blood, then you definately've decrease too short. they'll bleed lots. via fact of this I went to a buffer. i offered a conair one with a small steel wheel, battery operatd, and it grew to become into only $2.00 at great lots. Wal-mart carrys a greater costly, yet greater advantageous one. they'll final perpetually, so the investment is well worth it. My iguanas are very nonetheless for his or her manicures. they'll attempt to rub their backs on the lower back end of it via fact it vibrates and it sooths them.

A herp vet can do it. I took my monitor lizard in to a vet who SAID he can do it and it cost him his fingertips off 2 fingers.(DUMBASS) Now I do my monitors nails myself. All you really have to do is cut the tips off. Get some styptic powder just in case you go to short. The powder will stop any bleeding resulting from cutting too much off. Or a pet store that sells reptiles may be able to do it for a price.

Do some research on it, you could do it but you might cut a vein or you could take it to the vet.
