Crooked how? Do you mean the skull is deformed? Is the neck twisted? Does it hold its head at an odd angle?

Turtles have incredibly flexible necks, and often hold their heads at weird angles, especially when sunning and eating. Perhaps this is all you are seeing?

If you can post a picture, that would be very helpful. For more advice from people who really know turtles, try http://www.turtleforum.com

I've had 2 sliders that would hold their heads in weird positions, especially when basking. If it is permanent then he/she could have had some internal damage. If you have just gotten him, especially if you found him or don't know the person you got him from, definately have a vet check them out. Call around to find a good vet that specializes in reptiles. They are harder to find, but they are out there.
