Snakes have bad memories.

snakes can't "see"...they go by scent. i have a ball python that i am highly devoted to - the snake is my life! - and when i walk into my room after being gone for a little while or whatever, she will come out of her hide box and greet me kinda like a dog does at the door when they hear you pull up. some snakes see color, and may even have a FAVORITE color - such as the ball python. but the answer to your question is no - they do not remember people that they see...they remember a person by their scents...they only "see" red for heat and blue for cool areas. also be cautious - they can sense fear and WILL bite if they sense you are scared. angel (my ball python) can even sense when i am upset and/or crying - she will curl up on my chest and rest her head on my cheek bone right under my eye and flick her tongue so that she is lapping up the tears - she does that until i stop crying. so snakes use scent to detect things...i hope this answered your question.

I don't think they remember a face but they do remember scents! Remember, snakes have a great sense of smells! I have a boa and she seems to be much more calm and doesn't move as much as when others hold her.

i recently parted with my corn snake who i had for over four years. In her new home she is cared for very very good and seems happy and healthy and cont. to grow. when i go to visit her she seems to remember me. she knows right where she wants to be on me and goes there imediatle. I dont think this is related to her seeing me but rather the sent of me.

I do not know. Noone does for sure because snakes can't tell you anything. But I do know my snakes and lizards remember who my family is. My monitor lizard even knows his name. They are smarter than people give them credit for.
