Almost all snakes will refuse to eat if they are in the process of shedding. So offering them food at this time can be dangerous. They are less likey to move even if bite (if your feeding live prey). There vision is poor because of the opaque caps that form on thier eyes. I would recommend waiting untie right after the shed.

Usually a snake that is getting ready to shed may not eat. We would usually wait until our snakes fully shed until we fed them. They were often more hungry after they shed. If the snake is within a few days of shedding I would hold off feeding.

Yes... because I have a corn snake and when I was about to feed him, his skin was getting the color of when it looks like before it sheds, so I just gave him the mouse and he ate it. My snake eats whenever, so yes, feed him. I didn't feed mine in 2 weeks because last time he over-ate...so I'm like, "Hes hungry...he needs to eat"...and when he poops...it'll just go out when he sheds...so it will take awhile to digest since two things are going on in his body. So yeah....mine is digesting and about to shed sometime soon sooo...go ahead.

because all 3 have straight forward traits, any could be large. we've 2 corns and a king for pets. i could seem on the colours and shape of the pinnacle, and so on. to work out which you like superb. Please do no longer help morphism, however. it extremely is brutal on the snake's genes. for my area, i like Okeetee corn snakes and banded California king snakes via the seems and temperament. For the record, our king snake is greater aggressive than our corns. yet, a chew from a juvenile king isn't even like the pinch of a baby.

I wouldn't, you're just going to waste a mouse. Mine never eats even before he starts showing the visible signs on shedding!

Yes, if he doesn't want it he wont eat it. If he doesn't, make sure you take the food out.
