I just bought my son a couple of frogs from walmart. They weren't in a tank they were in small cups. I assumed I could just put it in a tank with no oxygen. How and what do you keep yours in?

I just bought a Mayatex wool blanket to go under my western pleasure saddle. Do I need to buy some sort of underpad to go under the wool blanket? I was looking at a gel underpad that is sized slightly smaller than the blanket.....would it be too bulky? The gel pad is about 1" thick. I don't want to cause discomfort to my horse's back. Thanks.

At the moment, they just have carrots and lettuce. Tried cabbage and cucumber but they don't like them!

A co-worker is a hardcore is vegitarian- she thinks eating other lifeforms is immoral (yet she has no problems eating vegtables, which are also lifeforms). She proudly boasts she never has and never will give meat products to her dog and cat- as there are veggie substitutes...What do you think of this? I think its animal abuse- cats and dogs are carnivores, and to eliminate meat from theri diets is arrogant presumption, and mistreating ones pets. What do you think?

Snobbish isn't exactly the word for my cat as she reacts quite violently to the sight of another feline or dog. She gets used to dogs and will tolerate their presence but she prefers to be alone. My problem is that I can tell she is getting lonely and restless as I am away from home more than she would prefer. I hate to have her lonely when I'm gone, as she usually repays my neglect with a full urinary salute (never leave towels on the floor with a bitter cat around) but I'd hate to get another cat and have them never get along. I'm worried she'll fight to the death if I leave her unattended with another cat. However, I am in no way a dog person and if my cat is feeling neglected I can't imagine how upset a dog would be. Is there anything I can do to introduce another cat or will she never warm up to one? Should I start with a kitten perhaps or should I just break down and get a breed of dog?

Hi everyone!

My 8-month old cat has a toy duck on a long string that he loves. When he's caught it, he gets it in his mouth then very sweetly trots off around the house with the string and wand dragging behind him. Then half an hour later he'll come back and drop it next to me with a very proud look on his face. Today he slept with it in his mouth! I'm not sure whether he's treating it as prey that he's just killed, or a baby kitten that he's carrying..... either way, it's very cute!

What do your pets do that is very sweet?

xx Emmie

I feed him twice a day (10 cups of Chicken &rice formula IAM's). He weighs about 65lbs. and that's as heavy as I seem to be able to get him. His dad weighed 105lbs & his mom was about 90lbs. I have taken him to the vet and he said he had some kinda of gland issue, and of course would need exstensive testing done $$. Just looking to see if anyone has faced something similar and may have some old fashion remedies.

Im guessing it's from itching b/c of the Fleas but I don't know he looks alot better but now he has bad Diarrhea! I feed him Marshalls wet food still since he's only 9weeks. Is he sick or somethin? Do you think us americans being over weight is a reason why our pets now are on diet pills.

Yes we even sell diet pills for pets now. I'm glad we don't carry them in my office yet, but people have asked about them.

I believe from being in this line of work for over 2 plus years it's feeding the wrong things and too many treats and unhealthy giving of human foods to pets.

He stands 16.2 hh and is a tall lean machine. I've heard that geldings will grow tall first, then when they're done growing height wise, they'll grow out. He gets 12-15 pounds of 10% right now everyday between 3-4 feedings and has a bale of CB to eat on since we spread out fertilizer in our pastures. I was told by a racehorse trainer to try vitamins. Anyone been in this situation?
