It ran out in front of me and I hit it with my car before I could stop or avoid it. I don't have a gun or anything, so I went back with a shovel but it was already dead. I moved it out of the road and into the ditch. I feel really bad for the bunny. What can I do to feel better? I told it that I was sorry and that I didn't mean to hit it.

I am doing a research report on how pit bulls are misunderstood. I can't seem to come up with a good title.
Any suggestions?

i have a pretty ok cat, hes not old and is constantly outside. he stays in the house to sleep at day and eats in the house and occasionally comes home at night to sleep. I want to get either two doberman pinchers or miniture pinchers. Would they live together just fine if i got the dogs young or something? because i really want some dogs, but im just afraid that i would make the cat feel alienated and like i wouldnt pay attention to him(as you noticed, im very animal concious). Is it a good idea, or would it just bring many complications to the future?

I've been spending a lot more time with the cat and dog individually, petting, brushing, playing with them and talked to them about dad's death wheither they understand it or not. Anybody else go through this? If so, what did you do?

I was just wondering if they are good as pets. Do they have personalities or anything? How easy/expensive are they to care for? What do I need to know about one if I was to get one?

I've been using the 8-in-1 brand flea spray for my ferret, Doc. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be working and I'm not sure what to do for the poor guy! I've heard that Frontline or Advantage brands work as long as you follow the instructions for use on kittens. Has anyone had any success with either of these, or does anyone have any other suggestions? I'm desperate and so far I've been lucky and they haven't seemed to spread past his cage but I'm starting to get pretty frustrated.

Should I be concerned and have her examined by a vet? She's acting fine, but I wonder if I should go ahead and have her checked out. I'm not sure exactly what type of spider it was, I didnt witness it, but my stepdad and my sister did. They said she acted like there was some discomfort at the site of the bite right after it happened, but as I said, she seems fine now. My stepdad said he was sure it was spider. This was indoors, so it was probably the type of spider you'd see mostly indoors. I think they would have said if it looked like a black widow or another spider with markings that are easy to identify. If you've had this happen to a pet or if you have studied in veterinary school, your input would be appreciated. Thanks!

ok, well i'm going to get a guinea pig soon. and i was wondering if you could give me a list of supplies i would need for him/her. ( and i want to buy a very inexpensive cage, and i dont want any websites for learning to make your own pig cage.) i also want to know if there are different types of guinea pigs, i know that there are long haired ones, and short haired ones, but are there different kinds other than that? && i would also like to know how much, or if you could give me an estimate on how much all this is going to cost? how much the guinea pig would be and how much the supplies would be too....and is there like any special things i need to have for my pig? like vitimin drops in the water or something like that? this is the first guinea pig i've had so i want to make sure that everything is ready and i'm not missing anything important. so when i get home i dont realize that i need to go back and get food pellets or something. =]] Thanks in advance for your answers! =]]

(i'm not saying this is what i believe.. first off.. just a thought i had..k? no hateful answers lol)

i was thinking about it, as i was walking my dog and wishing my husband was home for a quickie, and i thought, wow, all these poor animals.. we fix em and keep em away from other animals.. and unless they are breeders or get loose, they don't have much sex.. in fact, most animals don't get to have sex ever in their lifetime.. i know its great and all to prevent unwanted pets, but is it cruel to prevent them from this natural instinct and force them into celibacy?

or to deprive cats of the instinct to hunt? unless ya get a mouse in the house or something, kitty doesn't get to hunt.

or a bird from flying? keeping it in a cage?

is it cruel? yes or no and why?

Ingrid Newkirk, president of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, told Time magazine's "Swampland" blog: "If you wouldn't strap your child to the roof of your car, you have no business doing that to the family dog!"

Can anyone see why dogs are more important than human kids ?
