mini lops, french lops, english lops, hollen lops, florida whites are five types of rabbits. the difference between a mini lop and a french lop is just the size.the mini and the english are abotu the smae size but the english has longer ears. the hollen is smaller than the mini lop and has a ronder head which makes giving birth to hollens a little difficult. florida whites are really diferent then a mini lop, whites are used as a 6 class meat pin.best to show ...... there really isn't a best thats just a apinnion of your prefernce.
you must take the rabbit to the table your self or someone of your age(no adults are aloud to help you in a youth show)
all toenails must be the same color or it's a dq
a broken rabbit most be at least 10% of each color

There are about 50 different breeds of rabbits. None has something better than the others when it comes to showing. The rules for showing are different for each breed. The differences between the rabbit are some weigh around 15-20 lbs. and other only weigh 2 lbs. Some of their ears lay at the sides of their face and others stick straight up.

E-mail if you have any questions at all about rabbits. Do you have a specific breed that you want to own? I could find a breeder near you and has the breed you want. I know alot of different breeders.

Each type of rabbit has different points that the judges look for, it would be impossible for someone to sit here and list each breed and it's show standard. We show dwarf hotots, they are all white with black "eyeliner" around their eyes. Their eyeliner should be perfect, shoulders broad, ears upright, an adult should weigh less than 2.5 lbs, and have a nice round rump. Don't forget that the coat should be soft and smooth. Here is a link about them with photos: http://www.petpeoplesplace.com/resources/breed_profiles/rabbits/dwarf_hotot.htm

We also have just recently got a Jersey Wooley. We are still learning about her but I know her coat has to be groomed and mat free.

Here is a link to the 4-h rabbit book on selecting and showing your rabbit, it's very good.

There are many types of rabbits. For the best information on showing and the differences between them the library is your best source of info.
