My friends horse has recently started kicking deliberatly. She has had mud fever on her hind legs which has cleared up now. She is unhappy in the yard we use at the moment because she is in a small (10x10) box, with horses either side of her, and she is used to having some privacy and space.
Over the last few weeks she has deliberatly kicked 3 people, usually when we are trying to put boots on or pick her feet out. I think the root of this is that her legs were sore when she had the mud fever and we were treating it, but its gone now. I was wondering if anyone knew any ways to try and stop her kicking because she is getting dangerous to do anything with her hind legs - we are having to sedate her for the farrier to do her feet, where she has been fine previously.

I have 5 doves and 1 is an like the outcast, I dont know which one is beating up on it, but I have 2 aggressive ones, I looked in the cage today and the one who is treated like the outcast, had feathers missing around it neck and the tail of the feathers were all ruffled up, I dont know if one bird can do that damage by itself or if all of them are ganging up on it. 2 of them plus the "outcast" are usually very calm, I have 2 white doves which are more aggressive, What should I do? I have never known Doves to be so aggressive, There are also several eggs around the cages, if that makes a difference, please provide some advice,,,,??????????

We spayed our Lhasa Apso yesterday, and she has to waer a con e on her neck so that she would not like her wound. She is going crazy because of it, and I do not know hwat to do. She wants to lick the area, and I do not know if it is a sign of pain or is it normal? When will she get used to the cone? How long should I keep it on her?

Please look at both images and tell us (my wife&I) who you agree
with?....We would love to adopt both, but maybe later we will.
# 2 would be totally high maintenance and embarrassing.....If I saw a guy with that I would laugh, and think that he was a bit off.
Also my wife is 2 months preg and due in 7 months ...wich one would be best.
MY PICK....(He Is the father of the baby)

I have rats and love them very much. Over the last year I have been doing quite a bit of research about breeding because when I move back to Sault Ste. Marie Ontario I am thinking about starting to open my own breeding/rescue rattery.
Now, as I am an avid rattie lover I will be putting out the money to get quality breeding stock from various places across canada and, if possible, the States. I want to only be breeding healthy and well tempered ratties. Dose anyone have any advise or articles or know any breeders I can talk to for advise. And any pages with genitic info to help me as well?
Please keep in mind I will NEVER breed an animal without being willing to put out the money and emotional/physical care that is necessary. And I do not plan on putting this in action for at least 5 years when I have a comfortable savings in my account and money fro vet fees etc...
Also any other advise would be very welcome.

I speak well with any canine. I have seen and communicated with wolves. I can train dogs better than ceaser mullane. I can lure foxes to me when i am hiking. I have the gift to understand lupine body language but I am saddened because I really want to work with horses. My predatory nature makes it hard for me to communicate with horses. Can anybody help me adjust?

Wow that sounds crazy doesn't it. All I meant was I can understand dogs body language but not horses.

i found an ad in the paper for a vet clinic seeking a vet receptionist, experience preferred but not required. i have 5 years of customer service experience and volunteer work at a clinic and a dog ranch. i have no experience as a receptionist or in an actual vet clinic working. everytime i apply for something like this i get turned down because someone with experience comes along and gets the job. there are no vet receptionist programs in my local area, what can i do to gain experience for this position? i want to work in a vet clinic as a receptionist and or assistant, no school are close by. how can i get my foot in the door and get the job? should i callback in a few days after i took my resume over or wait for them to call me (if they ever do) help!!
