My guinea pig named frodo died the other day showing no signs of illness or anything. He ate his morning food and a carrot. He had plenty of water. I dont know why he died. I got him super bowl sunday 03 and he lasted 4 years until i found him lying flat on sunday at 8pm. The last 2 guinea pigs i had both died of illness. My first one dimples dies after having the "runs" for a few days and my second one Slick died after nearly a week of being... i guess you could say bed ridden. I took him to the vet and that when he died. Anyways why did my last guinea pig go. He had been active, like squeaking and running around that morning. He was not sickk, or at least nothing with vidible signs. He never seemed sad and he acted very happy, even though i did neglect him for days on end. I just want to know what happened and whether my neglecting him could have made him so sad he just died. I know i didnt treat him great. For the last few months i only gave him 30 minutes-hour a week of attention.

I completed some college, and have dreamt of owning a horse and living on a ranch for the longest time. My head is always up in the clouds, and I ride every now and then but haven't had any real training. I would love to find a ranch that i could do barnwork in and be allowed to ride, as well as live there. I want to know from any of you that had this experience what it would take for someone of my level to find a place like this? I'm soo caught up in this fantasy that I can't think of what else to do. I've emailed all sorts of Ranches and nobody needs barnwork done. Any suggestions?

I have left a few questions on here about my emotionally disturbed piggies. Generally they don't want anything to do with me unless it is food. When I pick them up, of course they run from me, and when I do have them, they seem so uninterested. I pick them up and give the hugs and kisses anyway, because I feel like it has to make them feel a little bit loved. Do you think they feel loved when I pet them and hold them, or do you think they are just annoyed? The only bit of satisfaction that I get is that when I pick one up and leave the room with him for a little while, when I come back empty handed to get the other one, that one will let me pick him up. Almost as if it is nosy and wants to see where the other one went...but I have to be gone a long time in order for that to happen. Other than that, I have know idea if they are happy or feel loved. They used to popcorn when I cleaned their cage, but not anymore. (I used to clean it a whole lot,, cuz I enjoyed seeing them happy.)

If all good people go to heaven, do all good animals go there too? Or do they have another kind of heaven, just for them?

I am renting a condo wif 4 other people. These people are my friends. At first, they didnt seem to have ne problems wif my pets, of 3 rabbits,... As time went by, they began to inquire from me, until when I intend to stay with them or for how long can a rabbit live,.. questions like that,... At first I found it strange,.... Until, recently, when we had a house meeting, they said that they arent very comfortable with having rabbits in the hall because of their fur,...

I tried to come with an understanding with them, yet they insisted that i either give my rabbits away or they will give them away for me,....

How to tackle dis problem?

I noticed that my mouse (who lives alone) has a small red sore on the back of her neck -- it now appears that she has more than one around her face. Earlier today she was huddled up in the bedding outside of her house in the middle of the day (which is unusual for her). She was just sitting there breathing hard and I thought she looked very sick. Now she seems to be fine, running on her wheel, eating and drinking, but she still looks kind of funny and the small sores are still there -- any ideas on what is wrong with her?
