here is a theoretical situation. a guniea pig has fallen asleep in a very tight, and uncomfortable situation. how would someone (not me) get it out of this area without making it angry and scratching the very sensitive walls of its new enclosure? please reply asap

I would offer it a treat and get it to come out on it's own.

Well, it depends on where it is. But, you'd have to very gently coax the piggy awake and try to see if there is enough room for you to get the piggy out. Gently pick it up, while supporting it on the bottom of its body and get it out. If it's wedged in somewhere, it can start to panic very quickly. You just have to get it out, basically. See if there is any room around the piggy so you can pick it up, with both hands, and get it out of this uncomfortable situation. When I say "you" i mean, whoever will get him out. If you could tell me where this piggy is, then i could offer more information...I had a piggy that got stuck in my sleeve and I thought that I would never be able to get him out, but I did. It was a very tight sleeve and it was a complete accident. I think I paniced more then the piggy, lol. But, I tried to keep a cool head, which is important in a situation like this.

You may think it is not uncomfortable but to them it is not..i use to own two of them and they did the same thing..animals like the feeling like they were still inside of there moms.. But on the other hand if someone is bugging it or has scared it..leave it where it is and it will come out when it is ready..and when it does come out then you can block it..if it still has not and you don't want to get bitten..get some heavy leather work gloves and try to remove it or put your hand in front of it's face and push oh so softly forceing it to back up..but be very gental

Put it in a cage then close all the gates to where the new enclosure is and then take him out of the cage! Give him a sweet treat for not scratching the very sensitive walls! loll!
